Thanks so much for all the help guys! i just got a quote off quinn-direct for £679.80 third party, fire and theft, it seems a bit weird because it's over a grand less than any other quote i have been given! I went back and checked everything over again and i have filled everything in just as normal and it was still the same quote. It just felt like it was too good to be true. Yeah, i was only going to change car if i could get insurance down by a few hundered (fairly unlikely) I looked on tesco and i got quoted £1708.35 for the saxo and its £1491.00 for a clio 1.2rl so i am not sure its worth changing. So anybody know of any good insurance companys for young learner drivers? or is every insurance company going to be pretty much the same?

Hello, i am going to be turning 17 in a few months time and need to start thinking about driving....... I would like to start my own policy as i have heard that it is the best way to go. I have been given a car by my sister its a 'citroen saxo 1.4sx 5dr 1996 (p reg).' I hav been told that saxos cost a lot to insure as thats what most boy racers have? as to weather that is true? So i am not sure if i should keep it or sell it on and get a smaller engine sized car like a 1.0 saxo or 1.0 or 1.2 clio ect ? So i am wondering.......what car insurance companys do you guys use or recomend for young drivers? I have noticed that girls/laddies are a lot cheaper than young men which seems a wee bit unfair to say the least! Am i just as well to keep the saxo that my sister very nicely gave to me? If not the what car should i get instead? around the £700 or £800 mark? Thanks in advance, Allen

Apprentice plumber which is not great pay but its better than nothing, and it will get better every year. I don't ride a lot of bike trials mainly motor bike trials. I also can't ride in winter because of the dark nights and there is no street lights were i am fro, . Allen.

It looks alright, after all its a trials bike they all get well hammered, but yes please do oil you're chain or get a new one. That back wheel looks really smart thought.

I personally don't like the green rims but thats my opinion and as you say it rides nice, Hope you get along with it just fine.

Have a shot on both if you can, try a few different makes of mod and stock, then see which you prefer. If you have been doing it on a mountain bike i presume it is over 20" anyway something like 27" or 28" (i might be completely wrong though) so you will be more used to the bigger bike so maybe just stick with the bigger bike (stock.) Its you're call though, which every you prefer. You are not aloud to try and buy a bike in new members chat, Just pointing it out incase you go and make a thread on it. Cheers, Allen

Hey paul is it the chain tensioners that you mean? It could be you're chain that is worn, or maybe you're sprocket and freewheel.

If you mean like upgrades then maybe new cranks, bb, front disc instead of maggie maybe a better freewheel, tires ect. you can upgrade almost everything on them, is it still the steel forks on the 06? if it is i would change them, i did and it made a massive difference to my bike, its really nice on the back wheel now. Try using the search as well there has been a few topics about upgrading t-birds and t-pros.

Is it still working? How much of this liquid has come out? dip you're finger in it and have a taste, as you say it might just be water getting in it somehow.

I have never got any myself but a couple of guys i work with say that they are really rubbish battery, they wear really quickly and are like £90 for a new one so you are as well buying a new drill or jigsaw or whatever. I have heard that makita are the best, so i would say go for some of them.

I hadn't notice he had gone to be honest, i think he is a great guy (never met him personal) just he seems really helpful, also on msn if i ask him for advice or anything about the forum the he always helps me.

hello, I have used the search but all the posts were made about a year ago. So what i am wondering, is the xbox worth the money? Are the graphics as good as everyone was saying they were going to be before it came out? I was thinking for either the core package, HERE or the slightly dearer option (might be worth the extra though) HERE Do i need a memory card with any of them? Just the xbox before came with memory space in the hard drive i think. so i am not sure if it any of them would need one......... Where is the cheapest place you guy know i can get one?

I also run a rear sticky finger :$ was going to be ordering a pair of creepy crawlers but i am not so sure now. Think i will wait and see which tires get good feed back.

If i was aloud i would get a 50cc with gears rather than a ped. Are you traveling long distance or short distance? If it is short and you live in a city the save the money for a car, if its long distance then get a 50cc. Do you really have to spend the money now?Can you not just save for a car since you can start driving lessons in just over a year. I am sure when you pass you're driving test you will not bother with a motor bike. Its up to you though.

I would pick trials, seriously, i can't imagen life without trials, all i do is ride or look at rock and think yeah that would be a great line to take. So defo trials
