Yeah my mate uses koxx greens on a hog rim and its probably the best brake i've ever used it locks holds really well with no modulation. Thats why i've just ordered some but i'm goin to be running the echo 07 rims so i'll be able to see if its anygood.

mineral oil is what magura,s are blead with so don't bother butting any other substance in them. dot fluid is an oil based substance which hopes are bled with. Whoever bleeds his brakes tell him not to put dot 4 or 5.1 anywhere near maguras cos it will just f**k the seals. and these can't be replaced. sounds to me that every time he keeps rebleeding it air has got into the system so get a bike shop to bleed them or some one who knows what there talking about . Just tell him to get a new brake because re-reading the topic it sounds like the seals are knackered.] O and yes baby oil is a cheap solution rather than magura blood and it works fine. But i've always bled mine with water and nothing as ever happened to them.

Any pads work with tar. I recommend echo pinks seeing as you can't get zoo's anymore.

because magura blood is water based. some people say water f**ks ur sdeals but mine fuked up with oil in. and now i bleed with water and there ace. because disks brakes have dot 4 or 5.1 in so putting water in it siezes the pistons up.

go for the hs33 06 but theres not much point in gettin a monty hose splitter as when a standard magura is set up right it'll be just as good if not better than the splitter. The only avantage is that it makes the pads come together at the same time. but if you insist on gettin one you can get the bolt thing from here link

yeah its the perfect bike for a beginner, but you should think about a dabomb or an onza T-vee there all really good for a first bike.

if your coming from kendal area go on the A590 as your going to barrow but follow the signs for grange-over-sands. eventully you will go into a little villag turn right when you get to the roundabout and go along the road called the back of the fell. it should be flagged from the roundabout. or use this link But even better if you have microsoft route planner use that.

If your going to grind your rim don't get a ronnie because after 4 or 5 grind they get dents everywhere. if not go for it.Also there isn't any strength diference between undrilled and drilled rims the holes are there to make it lighter. With 32hole your more likley do snap the spokes but if your wheels built right this won't happen. but If your looking for strength get the alex Dx32, strongest rim you can buy.(in my opinion)
