Done the whole mud thing.......no luck ... took the bike in for a closer inspection and the disc brake caliper is broken where it mounts to the adapter....so il send it back to tarty along with the rotor and see what they say/ do thanks yet again dave x

Ok disc brake is slightly better after the clean but its nothing to write home about......ok if its contaminated the pads are f**ked.?....il try the gritty mud shizzle in a second...... freewheel is a little better less skipages.....il wack some wd40 in it later on .. Right what ive done is. taken the pads and rotor off the bike.......sanded the disc rotor .placed in boiling water for around 3 mins....repeated this twice...... pads were stupidly black...loads of gunk......sanded them off and placed in boiling water repeated this twice also Now what il do is run it down a hill and hope all of a suden i fly over the bars then il be happy.. il keep you updated. thanks for all the help and info guys Dave

Hummmmmm well it came ready biult from tarty ...so i doubt it would be contaminated ( the disc that is) ......but il just poil the pads and rotor later on......white spirit......does that not contain some sort of oil that can damage disc pad brake pads ? guess its all just bedding in really hahahah im well inpatient....... cheers........Dave x

Ok How the hell do you stop a try all freewheel that skips like a little school girl......its brand spanking new rode it for around 6 odd hours Any help..... Next question.....magura louise again brand new ridden for 6 hours......hardly no bite or stoping power what so ever .Ive ran it down hills 'duncked it in the river and all that.......when i apply the brake realy hard it just makes this nasty squeak . Cost dependant on what kind of thing you have done really......somthing plain will cost a lot less unlike some of his really detailed stuff witch he probs charges 100 odd....... but ive seen a fair bloddy few of dans lids out and about on rides and they do stick out really well e mail dan have a chat .......or go on his my space........www.myspace/danbrooker DAVE
