I Need A Mechanic

I drive 1.7TD Astravan.

Here's the problem: The seal for my injector has died, I get alot of diesel pissing out the side of the injector when I'm driving.

I can get hold of the seal no problem (45p bargain!), but I can't get hold of a Mechanic, especially seeing as this is the only week in the year that they have off. An I can't wait till New Years for them to charge me £50.

So I plan on undertaking the job myself, can someone give me a 'run through' on what I need to do. (It's an astravan)

Isit as simple as depressurising fuel, undo injector with big socket, take out seal, put new seal in, do injector up to the right torque?

pretty much simple iirc.

just make be careful with getting dirt on the injector/pipes, a small amount could have the potenial to block it.

just take your time n remember its all just nuts and bolt at the end of the day. good luck
