After a few delays Adam has finally got his new Monty 207 Kamel.

It's designed for kids with a short wheelbase of 927mm

I only have scales that measure to the nearest 0.5kg and it says on those it weighs only 7kg!!

Needs to be busy practisin before the 1st comp of the year on sunday at shipley glen!

Looks good Robin! How's Adam finding it? Hopefully the weight and geometry will help him out, hope to see you soon and see how you're getting on.

What gear ratio did you go for in the end? Looks like 16:13-16:14 to me?

You can get even lighter tyres than those, so i bet you could get it sub 7kg if you really wanted to.

Finding it OK. Only got it out of the box tonight so had about 1 hour on it.

On his yellow monty he was running 16-16 but with this so light he is on 16-14 and so far it seems OK.

Rusevelt - They are 20" wheels. because he's so small & light it doesn't need a 19" wide tyre on the back.

Effectiveley it's got a mod front tyre on the rear and a narrow 20 x 1.75 on the front.

It's designed for 7 to 10 year olds!

The rear wheel is 19", the front is 20". This is the standard size for mods. Does that make it easier to imagine?

No, it has a 20" front and rear to keep the weight down and because kids Adam's size won't need a great big tyre, as Robin explained 2 posts above yours...

He's been on it all day today and I can't beleive the difference.

Being so much lighter seems to have given him so much confidence.

Riding straight up 4 pallets and started to do backhops now!

Might have to push him off a cliff at shipley on sunday! he's getting way to good! haha! see you sunday guys, looking forward to seeing his usual never give in style.
