staphan Posted March 29, 2009 Report Share Posted March 29, 2009 Hi all, after a failed side hop to park bench my bike looks like this:Now, I don't know anything about different chain tensioners so what do I do to fix this?? Do I need a certain kind of tensioner and what do you recommend? Will the dropout be weaker now, without the mech hanger? I have a Hope mono hub.. Mr Motivator Posted March 29, 2009 Report Share Posted March 29, 2009 (edited) It's just held in place by one fastener through the frame and the load of the QR/axle bolt.Have you got a picture of the whole bike, it might help to ID what frame it is. An ES2 hanger could be hard to get hold of, I'm not sure if they still use the same design hangers in more recent frames?edit: Actually, I've just found one...http://selectbikes.com/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=30It's "Hanger 2".
