J.KYDD Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 In theory, yes it is possible.But dont do it, its OK to use in rear maggies as with so much pad material and the rim being so exposed there is never enough heat built up to cause changes of temperature to the liquid used in the hose.However, put water in a disc hose, and you will boil it in seconds, just rolling down a steep hill scrubbing the brake and you'l bugger it. This is because the rotor is a small braking diameter so the same point will pass through the caliper before being able to loose any heat built up. Plus, with the material being so closely mounted to the metal backing, heat very easily and quickly is transfered to the pistons and thus the fluid.
