hey guys,

mr vokes and i have been spending some of our nights over the last few weeks driving around trying to find new places to ride, but its proving to be quite difficult.. . .

.. . .so im asking for anyone to list any decent spots they know of within the hampshire/dorset area, and just kinda outline what there is to ride there.

this is what we know of so far:

Southampton - spar train station, guild hall, asda, jjb, ruins, ocean village

Bournemouth - high street

Pool - sea front area

Portsmouth - high street, southsea

Milford on sea - rocks

Barton on sea - more rocks

Portland - mega rocks (bit of a trek though)

Eastleigh - train station

Verwood - forest, shopping centre

Hythe - marina, esso woods

Leap - beach, rocks

Lymington - Marina

Are a few others but cant remember them right now.

So yeah, list away!!!! also add in if its lit for night riding or undercover for rainy days :)

cheers

ben

Portsmouth has loads of spots other than high street and seafront(pyramids), theres law courts and numerous spots scatterd around.

Eastleigh has the train station, high street and Bookers wholesale which is basically an outdoor/indoor area we are allowed to use with hundreds of pallets which we are riding tonight (Y) come along ;)

Southampton aswell has a few more spots other than the ones listed :)

may pop down for a bit. . bit of a bitch as im workin in portsmouth today so will have to go all the way back to junction 2 of the m27, then back to eastleight. . . tempted though ;)

yeah pop along, im 'working' now lol, but will rush home then out again. Theres also hut hill in eastleigh which used for the Hampshire comp rounds, not great in the wet but good natural riding nonetheless

it may be abit of a trek but its a great place to ride, some spots are found only by local knowledge, as theres one which you go down to this tiny beach on the grove side of the island which is okish, heres a list of decent spots there;

flatstones

chiswell

the bill

back road to the bill (head down from the gore and you will see a gate with a stone path, follow it)

the liberary in easton

great spot at westcliff

bowers quarry

the quarry by reforne road

st georges primary school

trials place.

if you need anymore just ask I lived there when I first got into trials, great place to ride and is worth the trek down there. if need be you could ask the local riders where to go.
