Rear Brake Help Please :)

How Original

Recommended Posts

Right well I bought a new frame, and now it's arrived I realize my vbrake won't go on it, I have been told I need a magura hs33 hydraulic rim brake with 4 bolt mounts.

Just wondering if this information is correct for this particular frame.

Here's a picture of were the brakes been mounted...

Any help will really be appreciated as I can't wait to start my build :)

Yes, those are 4-bolt mounts for Magura's. You can get vee brake adaptors though - these bolt on to the 4-bolt mounts, and have a vee brake post on them.

So you can still run your vee brake on that frame ;)

you probely know this but what the heck, if u want to have maguras use these style of mounts

if you want v brakes use the adaptor above.

why offset mounts? I have mine in regular old echo SL on the same frame and they're perfect.

Thanks guys, I would probably prefer to run a Magura on the back and my disc on the front.

But I don't have a lot to spend, so may have to run the v brake, does anyone know the full name of a decent vbrake mount I can type into eBay or find me a link for the ones I need please?

I can't buy off tarty as they don't do paypal anymore :(.

Would be a great help :D

It's not a mod mate it's a 26" zoo pitbull.

Not sure of year though.
