I've been riding 4 years have been water bled for 3 1/2 That said I haven't been using the same set for that time - so maybe a new set is like a sort of a bleed... Interesting comment from Ali C - arm pump is my enemy, I just put it down to a lack of riding frequency. the best thing I ever did for arm pump was to get a vee brake, that completely eliminated it, but if you want to stick with a magura, then water will help loads, you could also wrap an elastic band around the blade and handlebar to counter effect the return spring in the body (seriously, this does help!)
