forteh Posted June 23, 2011 Report Share Posted June 23, 2011 Recently refitted my mono trial (old shape) on the front and was wondering if its normal for the caliper to spread dramatically when you pull the lever? I know the later calipers/levers are stiffer but its bodering on the rediculous, you can feel the pads hit the disk and you can then sponge the lever to the bars without much hassle. The bleed is good, been syringe bled from the bottom aswell to make sure; also faced the mounts to ensure caliper truth. Were they all like this or have I got a duff caliper? You can see the caliper spread probably close to 2mm, it bites ok but obviously the hold isnt the best it could be Any suggestions or am I stuck unless I buy an 07 onwards brake?
