Crank Length

SO could anyone explain what difference the crank length makes? presumuably with a long lenght you have more leverage so would be easier to get on back wheel?

Cheers in advance

Longer cranks do mean more leaverage, but you can sacrifice some speed. The usual rule is 160/165mm cracks for mods and 170/175mm cranks for stocks, but this depends on gear ratios and personal preferance.

You've got it in one, as far as I know.

The longer the cranks the easier it will be to pedal as it added more leverage.

I'm not sure how big a difference it would make to getting on the back wheel as I have always stuck with the same length of crank (170mm on 24" and 26")
