Disc Brake Mounting Help!

Recommended Posts

Basically i am getting a new frame tomorrow but my rear disc caliper is a tryall 155mm so wont fit a normal mod frame disc mount, would this mount adaptor work? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/disc_brake_spares/hope_iso_disc_brake_adaptor/c110p23.html i notice it says: The ideal way to get more power out of your front disc brake. Is it not ment to be used on disc frames?

Thanks,

Rob

Yes I'm pretty sure you want the +20 which will allow you to run a 160mm rotor.

The wonky size on the koxx is a combination of the disc mount being in a non ISO position and the calliper being the same caliper a the 160mm front.

So if you just mounted it to the frame you would need a 140mm disc.

With the +20 it brings it up to 160mm.

Best wait for someone else to confirm this.
