rocky111 Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 Hi I just bought a second hand tech trial brake and when I un-wrapped it I noticed that a small amount of the brake fluid had leaked out presumably in transit, I find this worrying surly this is not normal? I tried the brake out and it seems to work well, but I'm in two minds weather to send it back or not as the fluid must have leaked out from somewhere. has anyone else had a brake leak in the post before? or have I just been sold a dodgy brake? rocky111 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 Does the brake feel spongey at all? it doesn't have any more give in it then my freshly bled magura, you can pull the lever in a little bit more after it's locked. locks the wheel up pretty solidly, seems ok but then I'm not an expert. SamKidney Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 Im not massively clued up on the Tech levers, but by the sounds of it theres nothing to worry about. Check your resovior caps arent loose, and check the callipers bleed nipple too, aswel as all the hose fittings. Dont go mad tightening them, just check if theyre all okay.
