Tylerlovesalex
Hey just got some brand new echo SL rim brakes, and was going to water bleed them. was just wondering if anyone has any experience or knows of any reason why you shouldn't?? i have fitted them and they both feel a little spongy? is this because they have a oil bleed or because they re more powerful and just making my frame flex??? any help would be much appreciated thank you guys
isitafox
I'm gonna take a guess at the power, I've got an old SL lever with a maggie 4 finger lever blade and I can't find a booster strong enough to hold it.
AdamR28
because they re more powerful and just making my frame flex??? This. If the pads move as soon as the lever is activated, don't re-bleed.
Tylerlovesalex
This. If the pads move as soon as the lever is activated, don't re-bleed. just checked, yeah the second i touch the leaver the pads move right away, the return is fast enough for me, just feels a little spongy. can an oil bleed feel spongy over a water bleed, or 100% just more frame flex now? thank you for your time bud . AdamR28
There's no difference between water or oil in that respect, what you have now is frame / rim / pad flex. NP
