"Training" for hopping on the front wheel

Not sure if the word "training" inspires as much passion as it does on OTN's forum.

Anyhow a few facebook posts from riders wanting tips for this move motivated me to do a front hop video.
I asked around to see which local guys to do some front wheel hops for the video but there were just a few of us current riders who are able to front hop. Not the most useful move but if you can hop on the bw, why not the front wheel too? smile.gif
Modern day trial bikes make it fairly easy to balance on the front wheel as well.
To set a goal for a complete new front wheel hopper, try aiming for 3, then 4, and then 5, etc.
For more seasoned riders, aim for 5 hops, then 7, etc.

By the time anyone reaches 10 hops, you'll have uncovered the mysteries of the elusive front wheel hop balance point.

Hope this video can help give some ideas and tips on how to reach 10 front hops*

Any comments or feedback welcome. You can share or forward to anyone who might be interested in front wheel hops!  They're loads of fun!

Thanks for the comments. It was fun making this video and looking for good locations.

At 3:13 Jeff's clothes match the native sculptures with the blue, red and black color scheme. We didn't actually plan that, nor did we expect to find the wooden native structures in the background WITH some rocks to ride, great bonus! That was a pretty great morning and coincidence for filming this vid.
