18t Fixed Cog?...now Another Problem

- Take the lockring off

- Pull the freewheel apart

Then: Put it all in the freezer fora few hours. After that, dip the remains of the freewheel in boiling water - this will make the crank contract, and the freewheel expand :)

- Clamp the freewheel in a vice, and knock the end of the crank arm round with a mallet <_<

Go carefully, or you may strip the thread on the crank arm.

<_< Is the welded lockring one. But ill try it anyway and just a chisel or something

Thanking you =8¬)

I never really bother with boiling water etc.

Get the right tools for a start.

Bolt to freewheel tool onto the freewheel somehow.

Put the crankarm in a vice.

Get a really long spanner, and give it hell.

:)

I've just been round to my mate Rob's (thanks d00d) and he grinded it off for me =8¬). He suggested welding the spinny bit to the main body so it becomes a fixed cog, and then put it in a vice to turn it.
