Magura/rim Problem

Right got my new t-rex went to set up the brakes but come accross a problem the maguras were pushed all the way in but there was still too small a gap to fit the pad in without it hitting the rim, In the end i had to remove some pad material to get it to work(about 1mm 1.5mm). Ive got hog and ronnie rims altho im not sure its a ronnie becuase its realy realy wide a lot wider than my old one, anyway this problem occured on both frame and forks just wondering if theres a fix or if ill just have to sand some off the pads all the time?

And on another note i got some pink echo pads for free from tartybikes what are they like on a smooth rim?

Try them? :P , I don't think they have been used much, or I just haven't seen any reviews etc...

I don't know about the rim and magura problem sorry, but i'd like to know how good the pads are :)
