Posted December 25, 2005 Report Share Posted December 25, 2005 (edited) i was woundering what the difference was between the free wheel and the free hub in performance wize because i want a profile but i dont know what the performance is like on one of them oh and why dose it make that ticking sound ??chrisThe ticking sound is the mechanism, this is what allows you to freewheel (move without pedaling) without the pedals spinning round.Freehubs are generaly better, as a freewheel up front has alot more forse applied to it, where the forse applied to a freehub (with it being on the back) is alot less as it's lost in the chain, and the gearing.
