Front Disk Adapter?

Does any one know if there is such a thing as a front disk adapter (to put a disk no the front) because i was thinking of putting a disk on the front of my bike and cant afford new forks just yet. thanks owen (Y)

The world is welcome to prove me wrong, but I've never heard of anything like that. It doesn't sound feasible to me, there would be nothing to keep the disc in place, it's gotta take quite a bit of force surely?

What forks do you have at the moment?

There are a few potential soloutions but it depends what forks you have...

It may be possible to run that adapter on the front of the right side leg, it has been done but it is not the best idea...

Also there was a special hope disk that allowed you to run a disk on certain non disk forks, but i think it only worked

with pace forks and forks of the same diameter.

Also it is relatively easy to weld a disk mount on if you have steel forks, and possible but tricky to do the same with aluminium forks.

Or you could just stick with rim brakes, they are still very good...
