Saracen Kid Posted July 29, 2006 Report Share Posted July 29, 2006 (edited) i want a bashplate for my saracen mad 2.six but don't know which one to get ive looked on tarty bikes but they don't have saracen ones!!! can i use a different make or can i not have a bash plate i really need one because i keep bashing the bb on walls and stuff and ithink its weakining it and it looks naf because of the scatches and the noise help me!!!! Dan6061 Posted July 29, 2006 Report Share Posted July 29, 2006 The old Saracen MAD's had mounts for bashplates.But I guess they decided to stop having them on their frames as many people used bashguards over the chainring.Just stick with your bashguard, and learn to lean onto the side that it's on (right)Oh, and Armordillo's aren't made anymore. Posted July 29, 2006 Report Share Posted July 29, 2006 It's better to get used to riding with a bash ring, because if you always rely on a bash guard it will become a habit, and when it comes to learning to hop straight up things it will hinder you. It's also better for the bike if you learn to ride uci style (not using the bash) as it puts less stress through the frame and makes your riding look smoother.
