trials_noob
What's the best pads to use with Magura HS33's for a smooth rim? I've read a bit about the Onza Citrus ones and think they look good, cheap aswell.

Ben Geary
Zoo pads, smooth rim no grind at all ... little bit of tar on there and you'll have a very good brake. ThatsWhat I'm running and it's possibley the best brake I've ever had, Very loud aswell.
sunn_bmixx
dont do any of that, get your self a grinder, its soo easy its unbelivable. Take off your tyre and inner tube. Then go around the wheel keeping the grinder at a right angle to the rim. Then kneel on the rim at the bottom and work you way around the rim making a light mark, then go around again untill you have a good grind, just dont good too deep. Then get some koxx bloxx or you can have a good brake just on cool stops. My friend runs cool stops with good grind and has no problems. I would recomend this first ( AND WEAR GOGGLES) Otherwise i can advise plazmatic yellow pads on a smooth rim. Matt staples is riding with them on his new bike at the moment on a smooth rim and the grip is amazing!Hope this helps buddyp.s. and i wouldn't advise tar this is just an easy way out of getting a good brake, doesn't last long and is not good in the rain. To do it properly grind, as this will pay off in the long run after taking off and putting on new tar.ThanksIan Edited August 11, 2006 by sunn_bmixx

trials_noob
How quickly does a grind wear out the pads?
padarik
depends on the pads and the rim + plus the deepness of the grind. it would be best to check the other topics on this instead of asking the same questions again. dont mean any offence cheers padarik Edited August 11, 2006 by padarik
