Crank F'd Up..

hey guys,

so today I went riding, dropped of something like 150 cm high and my crank just totally snapped. I was lucky, didn't hurt my ankle and wasn't really doing a big drop when it broke.

Problem is, what the hell is the cheapest (and fastest) way to solve the problem. I'm really like superlow on cash..

Here's a pic for you :(

crank..

couldn't get it directly on, sorry.

Life sucks when you're poor (N)

Go on tartybikes.com its pretty cheap postage and just buy crank arms u wont need a new bottom braket and get the cheapest ones you can find and u get them in piars unless it says not in pairs and replace your broken one aswel just to be safe becase it is likely to snap if your other one has.

peachy

Those cranks are 158mm in length. - Damn short!

If you get new cranks, you'd need to change your gear ratio too!

They have a fixed (non-removable) 24t fixed sprocket/chainring on, and I guess you have a 16t rear freewheel?

I used to have that set-up back in the day. ^_^

Pretty much all the cranks on Tartybikes or anywhere, are front freewheel cranks. Especially for mod bikes.

You'd need to get a 12t fixed sprocket for the rear - meaning getting the freewheel off. - HARD!

And then an 18t front freewheel. - Tensile?

Depends on how much you have/want to spend.

If not, Cleanbikes sell the cranks you have. Click Here, second one down.

I'm sure they'd be able to send it to Belguim too. Just e-mail them and ask! :)
