A quick release is strong enough and much more practical. I suppose it might make the fork feel a bit stiffer, but people rarely complain about forks flexing that direction in trials anyway.DMR/Identiti make a rigid 20mm forks for jump riding and they even say themselves that it isn't really necessary, and that it's only really for people who don't want to change there hub when they've gone from sus forks.
