Between Ross having bruised ribs, me tacoing my hard to replace 24" front wheel and then getting sick we didn't get as much done as we would have liked, but still had a great time. DangerousDave Posted December 20, 2014 Author Report Share Posted December 20, 2014 With TNN brake clamps and snails, I pull the axle all the way to the back of the dropout (about 1mm of the axle sticks past the end of the dropout, meaning you get about 60% of the washer actually touching the frame ) and it works. Zakd Posted December 20, 2014 Report Share Posted December 20, 2014 i used to do that, but it was too fiddly for me and I bought a new style heat sink tensioner. Put a little stone on each drop out as I couldn't bottom it out because I couldn't set my brakes up on a trial tech rim, the side walls are very narrow on them rims.
