  1. @Tom Booth any experience with rad flush style things in your mini / old cast iron engines?  The coolant in the mini has always been pretty ming even after flushing it through multiple times.  If the cars been sat a week or so its clear as a bell so it must just be sediment in the water.

  2. My mini had to go for a VIC (vehicle identity check) check after its accident.  Bearing in my mind the engine has been rebuilt so has no engine number plate and the frontend replaced so no vin on the scuttle.

He spent all of 2 mins looking at the riveted on plate on the inner wing and gave it a tick.

They've scrapped that now too though.

Looks like you have to tick a yes/no setup when your applying for historic tax as to wether the vehicles been modified dramatically, if yes it's off to IVA for you.

"If a vehicle has a power to weight ratio of more than 15% in excess of its original design, unless such a modification took place before 1988."

Well there go's my clubman not needed an MOT out the window.

That document suggests it will just need an MOT though not an IVA.

Recovery collected her but as they unloaded the car it started to roll off the back as the guy hadn't put the handbrake on... resulting in the car the rolling backwards and and the front end getting taken out as it dropped.

Surely the recovery company should pay for any damage they caused not your insurance?
