  1. Any of you workshoppy people got any experience with something like this:

    F35EEF1F-C831-4AE7-A414-725A8C801BA6-lar

Ive had good success with another sandblaster i've got but thats not in a cabinet so makes a massive mess and is a grim experience.

It's to do suspension components and what not.

Just jumping back to the Beats discussion, they're shite, don't waste your money.

Best marketing scam ever, tricked millions into paying way over the odds for poor sound quality.

Read hi fi mags, join audiophile forums... you'll never see them get recommended.

A £100 pair of them would be equivalent to a £30 pair of something else.

+1 literally just a fashion accessory.

I've come to the realisation I have a sleep problem, I go to bed around 10.30 most nights and fall straight to sleep, I was waking up around 2.30 totally awake yet still tired so I go and watch tv for a few hours.

This started around a year ago when my neighbour started working nights, I'm a light sleeper anyway so any noise wakes me really but now it just seems to have become normal and part of my routine I guess. I'd guess to say this happens 4 nights out the week and it's starting to get to me now.

Doesn't matter what I do, once I'm awake that's it for the day. Need to get this sorted as it's really impacting now..

Does going to bed later make any difference?

Makes me laugh when people moan they wake up at 5 and go to bed at 10. No shit. You’ve had 7 hours sleep.

Page 1000 of this iteration of the car thread! I wonder what we'd be up to if things hadn't been split all those years ago!

The other half is 1184 pages.  I could probably merge them back together now.

The factory low beam will be replaced by an HID kit, so those wires will be redundant.
The sidelight will remain as is, so no wiring needs to change for that.

The factory halogen high beam has an earth to the casing and a single purple/black wire to the bulb itself.
The solenoid for the bixenon flap is a 2-wire affair (red and black, though that's irrelevant I suppose)

Can I simply wire the solenoid wires to the high feed and earth and expect it to work?
Surely provided there's a live feed to the solenoid to activate it, and it's above a threshold voltage, the flap will flap.

So the projector has a flap/solenoid to switch it between low/high beam?

On your car does low beam go out when you switch to high beam or do they stay on?

Sounds like you'd need to power the HID with the low beam 12v/ground and then power the solenoid/flap with the high beam 12v.

  6. I cheated its the connection we just got at work.  Get about over 900 each way on a good day.  Its not even that expensive its mainly because its central Leeds.

I'm 'only' on virgin 100mb at home, i'd be happy with 50 really but they don't seem to offer it anymore.
