  1. Bristol. There's no point going to Brum if we're just going to get kicked off everywhere? I fully expect there to be a lot more than 50 people. No shortage of stuff to ride in Bristol, and won't get kicked off anywhere. I'm not going to say anything else on the subject though.
  2. While I was waiting for this to load I was thinking 'Surely not?'... But you really did make a whole new topic about a very average sized sidehop.
  3. Woooah. That is so so nice. Paint job doesn't do the frame justice in my opinion, looks like some groovy Marks and Sparks swim shorts. Apart from that though, its super nice looking. Geo is good too, silly people giving it that headangle though (pet hate). Any idea when these are going to be around Ad? Need to persuade somebody to get one, I want a go.
  4. Erm, sort of. People pay with paypal sometimes Normally, the seller makes a topic, displays item, describes condition with picture and posts an asking price. People tend to haggle a bit, then they exchange money and addresses and bob is your fathers brother.
  5. Yeah I see what you mean. Could be done too by cutting a headset spacer to fit the top of the stem with a flat edge on top.
  6. As for monty stems... Why would you run a monty stem when you can run a trialtech stem? I would also have the same issue with my Try-All stem sadly though, and with the geo being 125 x 25 which is bang on the mark for the frame, I'm screwed. Simply because theres nothing else around with geo like that and a normal top-cap. Plus, these forks I suspect have the standard 45mm rake. This is totally fine, and totally sensible on Dave's part. However, because koxx are cockxx, to make my bike feel nice - I have to use koxx forks with 35mm rake, otherwise I'd be stuck with a mong headangle. Edit: Oh, and I predict £140.
  7. Looking at a map, the most central place to have it would be Birmingham, geographically speaking. But, am I right in thinking that Beau didn't really venture over to the east? As in London, Norwich etc. Because in that case, Bristol is reasonably central as far as people that knew Beau are from, if you know what I mean?
  8. All much of a muchness it seems. Had ACS freewheels (hasn't everybody?), had an Eno, Had a Tensile, Had one of the very first Try-All freewheels, and I now have one of the new ones. In order that I had them... ACS was shit, had about 3 and they all lasted only a few hours. This was back in the day, so I literally couldn't ride trials. Going to bash and wheelies was as good as it got.The Tensile was alright, lack of EPs was why I got rid, but it did skip a little. Also when I had it I was too thick/scared to open it up and clean it out.The first Try-All was very good, had it for ages, this was the time when everybody was saying about them skipping, and mine didn't at all. Only got rid of it because I went stock, and got a Pro2.Eno - went back to freewheels a little while ago (just under 6 months ago) and got an Eno. Which I liked to begin with. Skipped a couple of times bedding in but was no trouble. Started skipping again, so serviced it. Then it was fine, then it started skipping again (only a couple of times) and I couldn't be arsed with it anymore. Sent it to tarty and was diagnosed with raped pawl syndrome and now that tarty have serviced it its bloody mint and is working perfectly on Nick G's bike.Try-All (the new, welded ones - my current freewheel and favorite) so - got this freewheel on my new complete bike, was going to change it for an Eno before I even got it but thought ahhh I'll give it a try. Oh boy am I glad I gave it a try. Love it to bits. Engagement feels great, nice sound that isn't OTT, and it hasn't skipped once. Full confidence in it and won't be changing it in the foreseeable future. So yeah - Try-All is where its at. Edit: Also had a monty freewheel, but never actually used it so irrelevant really. Got it out of the box, had a play with it, felt horrible so promptly sold it.
  9. Yeah they should do. Depends on retailer I think though. Tarty are spot on with warrantys on them.
  10. Yeah its strong, and its heavy. As for this topic... 'List your bike queris'? So basically take the idea for the whole of trials-forum and condense it into one topic? Its a good job most people have the sense to not use it, otherwise it would be hugely clogged with shit. - Not a fan.
  11. Sick Nathan. You've done a properly good job of that. Video!
  12. Hello! Happy Birthday for tomorrow... You'll be lucky to get your hands on a Monsterboy! Koxx stopped making them a little while ago, unless you can find one in some funny little shop in some corner of the world you wont be able to have one unless is second hand Lots more lovely frames around though! With the front brake... It all depends what brake your using at the moment. If your using a vee brake I'd suggest upgrading. But if your using a magura, they are just as good as disks in their own way. Its personal preference what each rider prefers the feel of really. Keep up the good posts, and good quality written English and you'll be able to post in the good bits of the forum shortly. Don't forget to use the search!
  13. No its not... Worth doing? Added it to house insurance, so if it gets pinched from inside my house I'm fine.
  14. Yes Ash. I'll be there. Couldn't make the funeral with regret, had to send flowers to it instead. Will make this for sure though, even though I work saturdays I can take a day off if its needed (I only get 7 a year though so I'd rather not). I say Sunday the 7th, Bristol. Its no good organizing it then changing it to some far corner of wales or Coventry, over 100 miles away from bristol (In my opinion). Also, trains are fine on sundays 9.9 times out of 10. Its only when there are public holidays and major major works that things start to go ratty. You just need to plan, and look up what time the trains are here. Edit: Also, less of the squabbling about 'I knew Beau the best' 'No I knew him the best'. Not Needed. Edit again:
  15. Doesn't it say 1 set per household somewhere?
  16. Or Ride like Dan Brooker (feat. Zoltan) rather than Neil Tunni-bunny-wunni-hunni. Or Viz/Atomz/Trialtech forks
  17. I couldn't tell you! I've got some in the post (first set tarty sold I believe) should be arriving tomorrow. Will give them a try and let you know.
  18. Sounds like bad luck to me, those forks are normally very strong. As has been said in another topic recently, it is the consensus that Zoo! forks seem to be the strongest out of Deng's range, however Viz/Atomz forks seem to last people longer. I have known 2 sets of Viz forks to bend slightly though... Edit: I've seen worse English! Good try, at least its legible.
  19. I think you mean what is nicer, the '06 short Typhoon or the '08 Typhoon (which happens to have a longer wheelbase). If so - '06 short. Hate the new Typhoons.
  20. Is that based on any actual facts or is that total speculation? The later is my guess. Nobody has even said that there will be an '09 lite. If theres nothing in the current echo/zoo/czar/adamant/zoo/Gu/Monty/Koxx/Atomz/Onza/Neon/DOB/Meta/MBK range that'll do you, your retarded anyway. I could understand maybe if you were shit hot, and had been on an echo lite of some description for years, but neither of those brackets apply to you. I can excuse people for wanting to know when the new Adamants and Zoos will be around, just. Because 1 - they have actually been announced and 2 - most of the people that are asking for them have been riding a Zoo since the first zoo came out in the early 90s. Shut, up.
  21. Hahaha utter wank. Get out.
