Well - in all those clips, you fall off because you lean too far back (the first few clips), or not far enough (the endo method, particularly the last one). If you feel like you're going to fall off the back, drop your arms forwards, moving the bike down a bit... Gonna fall down forwards, simply lean back more or pull up harder (if it's the first one from endo)... I found that, the first method you used was easier for me. Although I used something a fair bit higher so I started off much closer to the balance point. It's all about finding that point - keep it there and you're set. Other than that, it's just keeping at it - it shouldn't take too long... I picked it up in about a week, maybe a bit more?? Good luck with it, and don't get too mad at the bike if you can't do it - it's YOUR fault not IT'S... lol Joke - but really - don't get too stressed over it, it'll come in time [and thankfully not too much of it if you persist] Hope you don't quit 'cause it's not super easy like my friend did... From what I know, you got yourself a bargain. To my knowledge, the '04 Python frame had a bash guard capability - they seemd to have dropped that idea. Everything on it seems of a high standard, except - I've been told - the freewheel. From many a person, I've been told that the ACS freewheels are unreliable and kept coming undone. Seeing as this is the welded one I don't know, but if it is bad, it's only another £35 for a tensile and it's a damned good bike in my veiw... (Could make it even better by getting an ENO for £85, but if you're like me and don't have that kinda cash floating around, then tensile's good enough. Heard there's not a whole lot of difference anyway ) Might not even be a problem, but if it is, it's the only one... Nice buy Flipp

OOF! If I hadn't a broken foot, I'd be out and about riding 22f - 18r. It's what I "grew up on" so I like it Flipp

Ah ha! I get it Thanks all who helped. God knows what kind of phsyco-genius thought that up... Relatively easy to understand, but to come up with it...?! Flipp

Surely if it's spinning round on a thread, there'll come a time when you can't roll back/pedal forwards any more? I think I understand the main concept of it, but not much more than that I'm afraid... If it's running on a thread, how come it doesn't hit the end and stop - or hit the other end and fall off? (if it's open on one end) EDIT: OH!!! Just re-read it and I think I understand... Not positive though, so any more detailed explainations wouldn't go amiss (Not saying yours was bad Lardo_69 )

Yeah - I know that, but I don't MEAN that lol I mean, how come he doesn't have to pedal during the roll-back?

I was just watching a BMX video, and one of the guys rides forwards and stops pedalling. Naturally enough, he carries on going (thanks to the wonder that is the freewheel ), but then he does an endo, he comes back down from it and rolls backwards. You'd expect him to have to pedal backwards or he'd stop, but nooooo... he's special and just rolls without moving his feet atall 1) How?! 2) If he's got 2 freewheels or something funky like that, how does it engage when he pedals? If you're to answer, please don't tell me "I don't know but I know what you're on about" - that leaves me no closer to an answer than where I started. ...But thanks for the thought I'd like to know exactly how it works please Ie, how he can coast both forwards and backwards without pedalling, yet it still engages and moves him forward when he DOES pedal? Thanks a lot if you know... I'm baffled Flipp (I don't need to know I'm just really curious now)

I'll accept most stuff except "chav" music (ie. thud thud thud thud bang boom whizzzzz), and I really don't like indie. But mostly I like metal Most every CD I've got (which is a LOT) is metal... Eg. In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Hypocrisy, Moonspell, Sepultura, Children Of Bodom, Breed 77... Really can't be bothered to list any more. Flipp

Tool Kits For You Newbies, Cheap And Cheerful
aener replied to Egg Fried Rice's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Personally I'd advise against... Only because I've used those spanners on my £80 BMX (from before I started trials) and they're really thin so they just make a little round section in the bolt. ie. They're too sharp and just cut through it But it WAS a cheap BMX so the bolts might have been pants. Other than that, it seems a pretty good deal - just don't be too rough with them; at that price they won't stand up to much. lol Flipp -
I'd second that... If you feel as thought it's just your freewheel holding you back, and not the frame yet - get the freewheel. This means that you can be saving up for a frame while you're advancing in skill with your new freewheel. Then when you've got enough money for the frame, you'll be better and not have had to hold back waiting for a new freewheel ...My thoughts they are Flipp

Nope, no manual Any other help also appriceated... Flipp

Hey all, Just bought a new chain, but I'm a little confused... I've never had to buy a new chain before so forgive me if it's a stupid question .... But what the hell is this? A quick response would be handy in this issue as I wanna put it all together now... Cheers Flipp

What a guess Where did you buy/download from? Or is it that one track on their site? Flipp

Nice vid... Much better than me Was wondering though, what's the music? The voice sounds much like Anders Fridén? Of In Flames..? My guess would be Passenger or Ceremonial Oath? (Not heard either but I know he is/was in them) If it's either or even if not, please tell me where you got it (and who it is if not) Could be WAY off... lo Nice one... Flipp

**Slightly** off topic, but my cranks creak like that aswell. I've been told "put grease on the tapers", I haven't got any proper grease... Will dubs fix that aswell if spayed on the BB bit they go onto? Cheers, Flipp

I had the idea before that Koxx one came out... Don't know how old it is but I'd never seen it before I wanted to make mine It's not realistic I know, but the concept is awesome I think. The idea is that the frame is literaly being a Y. Toptube and downtube are combined, chain and seat stays are combined, so it just splits to go either side of rear wheel I know the tube's'd (that how it goes??) have to be really strong etc, but if there was like internal structuring in it... lol Would need to be much wider aswell... can't be bothered to make it all perfect... but you ge the drift... I dunno - but I'd want it. (Bit long aswell... Can't be bothered to change it ) Flipp

I'm not the most experianced trials rider atall, but personally - even if I was to want a stock bike - I wouldn't buy any of them. I myself have never heard of the site, but as I say, I'm not an expert on it.... yet. I would go with what everyone else tells other newbies and have a look on eBay... Better off getting something half decent second hand, rather than paying the same price for something first-hand that you could very well have have pulled out a cow's arse... That's my thoughts anyway... Flipp

Just ordered it Thanks for "reassurance" Flipp

Goin' for the cheapest remember? Will order it tomorrow or something. Thanks you two Flipp

No tire rubbing or anything? And what about the bolts? Absolutely deffinately? (Sorry for the interrogation - I'm sick of people saying something will fit and then it doesn't - or sending me the wrong f***ing PARTS!!! ((I ordered a wheelset once - 20 front and 19 rear, he send me 2 20s... )) so I always make sure now ) EDIT: ...Forgot to say thanks

Maybe I'm just stupid, but what are the bagties around the chainstays for? (Maybe they're not called bagties, maybe cableties? The things they hold young trees to posts with to make them grow straight ) I can only think it's to hold a crack together.... (not likely) or is it just to stop any chips being put in that Oh-so-WONDERFUL paint job? ....This isn't a criticism, I'm just curious... lol Flipp

As said, money is thin on the ground for me at the minute. I've just upgraded to a wider rim (Onza Hog) as my Magura wouldn't lock up on the pants rim I used off my old BMX :$ (Bought all the parts separately and built up from that) I've just realized though, that even on such a thin rim (29mm I think ) the frame flexed a bit with no booster. So on the 47mm (if I remember correctly), the frame would very well bend around a pint glass, no? I know most of you will be thinking "Oh it's only an extra tenner either way, don't be so tight..." - but frankly I don't care for those who think that! lol. To the point: I did a search and they said don't get the normal Echo booster as it wont fit. Will I be able to use this one? Echo Booster I run a 19" Onza Hog rim on a T-Pro frame. Four bolt mounts, and I'm using the Maxxis Creepy Crawler 2.5" tire. Don't know if all that info is neccasary, but I figured you lot are better off having to much than not enough, no? Tehehehe No need for such a big post really, but I've got nothing better to do Thanks for any help - Flipp Just remembered: Will the bolts fit aswell? 'Cause when I got my brake clamps (they came with EvoII clips), they had M6 bolts and the mounts are M5 (I think??) Don't want all that trouble again... My frame is sorted out and now fits the proper M5 bolts... so I really don't wanna strip them again... Money is of the essence... Now I AM done

Hey all, I've broke my foot This means no biking for a fair time. I figured if I can't bike, I'll make a video. Hey all, I've got no footage of me 'cause I'm crap So this is my idea: if you don't mind - and want to keep me happy rather than miserable - could you all send me clips of you biking? I'll make a T-F video lol Any song suggestions won't go amiss, though I've got a few ideas myself. Clips preferably not too low a quality, for obvious reasons, but also not to high 'cause my computer isn't quick either way. Also, when I say "clip" - I mean like - one move, not a mini video all strung together please. Send as many as you want, I'm not expecting that many people to reply (So if you've got more than one move you want, just make a list ) Doesn't matter how good you are, doesn't matter street or natural, just clips. Dunno if this has been done before - neither do I care... I want to make one too Cheers all, and know that I envy every single one of you - being that you can ride, and I can't... Lucky geese... Flipp EDIT: Give me a link over here, or send them to flipp1@hotmail.co.uk I've just done a search and there's another guy making one, I'm not trying to compete, I just want something to occupy my time 'till i can ride again...

A fine video My only fault would be (and it's not even REALLY a fault...) that you seem to hunch over the bars loads... I dunno about anyone else but i find it makes it harder... lol Straighten out - you might get higher/further 'Tis what I found anyway... And yeah - you're better than me so I'll shut up now :$
