  1. I had the idea before that Koxx one came out... Don't know how old it is but I'd never seen it before I wanted to make mine It's not realistic I know, but the concept is awesome I think. The idea is that the frame is literaly being a Y. Toptube and downtube are combined, chain and seat stays are combined, so it just splits to go either side of rear wheel I know the tube's'd (that how it goes??) have to be really strong etc, but if there was like internal structuring in it... lol Would need to be much wider aswell... can't be bothered to make it all perfect... but you ge the drift... I dunno - but I'd want it. (Bit long aswell... Can't be bothered to change it ) Flipp
  2. I'm not the most experianced trials rider atall, but personally - even if I was to want a stock bike - I wouldn't buy any of them. I myself have never heard of the site, but as I say, I'm not an expert on it.... yet. I would go with what everyone else tells other newbies and have a look on eBay... Better off getting something half decent second hand, rather than paying the same price for something first-hand that you could very well have have pulled out a cow's arse... That's my thoughts anyway... Flipp
  3. Just ordered it Thanks for "reassurance" Flipp
  4. Goin' for the cheapest remember? Will order it tomorrow or something. Thanks you two Flipp
  5. No tire rubbing or anything? And what about the bolts? Absolutely deffinately? (Sorry for the interrogation - I'm sick of people saying something will fit and then it doesn't - or sending me the wrong f***ing PARTS!!! ((I ordered a wheelset once - 20 front and 19 rear, he send me 2 20s... )) so I always make sure now ) EDIT: ...Forgot to say thanks
  6. Maybe I'm just stupid, but what are the bagties around the chainstays for? (Maybe they're not called bagties, maybe cableties? The things they hold young trees to posts with to make them grow straight ) I can only think it's to hold a crack together.... (not likely) or is it just to stop any chips being put in that Oh-so-WONDERFUL paint job? ....This isn't a criticism, I'm just curious... lol Flipp
  7. As said, money is thin on the ground for me at the minute. I've just upgraded to a wider rim (Onza Hog) as my Magura wouldn't lock up on the pants rim I used off my old BMX :$ (Bought all the parts separately and built up from that) I've just realized though, that even on such a thin rim (29mm I think ) the frame flexed a bit with no booster. So on the 47mm (if I remember correctly), the frame would very well bend around a pint glass, no? I know most of you will be thinking "Oh it's only an extra tenner either way, don't be so tight..." - but frankly I don't care for those who think that! lol. To the point: I did a search and they said don't get the normal Echo booster as it wont fit. Will I be able to use this one? Echo Booster I run a 19" Onza Hog rim on a T-Pro frame. Four bolt mounts, and I'm using the Maxxis Creepy Crawler 2.5" tire. Don't know if all that info is neccasary, but I figured you lot are better off having to much than not enough, no? Tehehehe No need for such a big post really, but I've got nothing better to do Thanks for any help - Flipp Just remembered: Will the bolts fit aswell? 'Cause when I got my brake clamps (they came with EvoII clips), they had M6 bolts and the mounts are M5 (I think??) Don't want all that trouble again... My frame is sorted out and now fits the proper M5 bolts... so I really don't wanna strip them again... Money is of the essence... Now I AM done
  8. Hey all, I've broke my foot This means no biking for a fair time. I figured if I can't bike, I'll make a video. Hey all, I've got no footage of me 'cause I'm crap So this is my idea: if you don't mind - and want to keep me happy rather than miserable - could you all send me clips of you biking? I'll make a T-F video lol Any song suggestions won't go amiss, though I've got a few ideas myself. Clips preferably not too low a quality, for obvious reasons, but also not to high 'cause my computer isn't quick either way. Also, when I say "clip" - I mean like - one move, not a mini video all strung together please. Send as many as you want, I'm not expecting that many people to reply (So if you've got more than one move you want, just make a list ) Doesn't matter how good you are, doesn't matter street or natural, just clips. Dunno if this has been done before - neither do I care... I want to make one too Cheers all, and know that I envy every single one of you - being that you can ride, and I can't... Lucky geese... Flipp EDIT: Give me a link over here, or send them to flipp1@hotmail.co.uk I've just done a search and there's another guy making one, I'm not trying to compete, I just want something to occupy my time 'till i can ride again...
  9. A fine video My only fault would be (and it's not even REALLY a fault...) that you seem to hunch over the bars loads... I dunno about anyone else but i find it makes it harder... lol Straighten out - you might get higher/further 'Tis what I found anyway... And yeah - you're better than me so I'll shut up now :$
  10. AMEN TO THAT! lol I've only been moved on once because there's only two factories around here... I ventured down to the second one (never been to it with trials in mind before) the other day, and it's got thousands of pallets... So to stick with the theme, I'm gonna ask them if I can use them, so long as I put them back etc, but does anyone know a decent way to ask them? 'Cause I don't think going upto the reception and saying "Hey, I ride a trials bike. (Explains what trials is if they don't know) Can I use all your pallets to practice on?" is gonna go down too well. Much less WORK. lol Flipp
  11. I thought it might - but I know nothing about making games or even things in 3D programs. The closest thing to it that I've got on the PC is paint lol ...Sorry
  12. Yeah - well, that or make the man bigger hehhee
  13. Yeah - I've got the exact same thing... I find that if you just tighten up the crank arm bolts, it goes away untill they loosen off again. I never completely stop it though 'cause the bolt is MEGA MEGA tight and I don't wanna strip it... Flipp
  14. As far as I know, you can't have two users accessing Internet Explorer at the same time... My comp. does it too... I don't THINK there's a way around it, so you just gotta put up with it Flipp
  15. Is "side hop" refering to: rear wheel to two wheels? rear wheel to rear wheel? or two wheels to two wheels? I've been riding about 1 month and so far: rear wheel to two wheels - 22/24" (two and a half breeze blocks, on side - not flat or end) rear wheel to rear wheel - 15" two wheels to two wheels - 6"? (about two bricks... lol) Is this about the normal for my time? I've never much tried two wheel take offs... and I'm not trying too look flash at the minute - I'm just trying to climb stuff It gives me a real sense of achievement hopping up a bench, climbing up the next bit, and then lurching off over the lower bit you climbed up I have no one to ride with at the minute, so I think I COULD be better, but a few friends are starting to get interested now Anyone around the LOUGHBOROUGH / LEICESTER type area; chuck us an email please: flipp1@hotmail.co.uk Cheers, Flipp
  16. They're the bit's on the axle that screw into the hub to keep the bearings in. (To be blunt) If you've got a sealed hub, you wont have any... Flipp
  17. Yep - I thought so.... I tightened them and it was perfect... went riding for about 2 hours and it was all wobbly again Aahh well - new hub I guess...
  18. Hey, I thought it was just a couple of off chances, but every time I ride, my rear cones come loose. I had to do them up about every two rides, so I took it in to be serviced. (Popped my maggie open aswell so that needed fixing... ) It came back yesterday, just been out riding, and the back wheel's wobbling all over the place! Any help please? I've gotta keep this hub alive for a fortnight or so. Also, if you can link me up - or explain how to tighten the cones, much appriceated. I did know, but i've forgotten and am a bit unsure... Cheers, Flipp
  19. Should those bolts come with the hub if it is second hand?
  20. I have been looking at getting a new hub for my T-Pro. The T-Pro rear hub seems perfect, but I've been offered a T-Master rear hub. I looked at pictures of them, (I would upload them but I've not been validated yet) and it seems the T-Master hub has no axle?! Will a T-Master hub run in a T-Pro? And if so, how does it stay in? I see no axle, therefore I'm left with the obvious question: "How does it stay in the frame?" Would I be better off just getting the T-Pro hub? Thanks for any help, Flipp EDIT: I was looking on the tartybikes website. And also - is it that they expect you to put your own axle in it?
  21. ...Posted and doesn't matter any more...
  22. How come no one else has it under their name then? Or is it that they only show you your own warning rate? Flipp
  23. Ah.... Very sorry, didn't read the bit about which bike... I just assumed it was a mod :$ My mistake. But yeah - Ben's right - don't do what i said.. lol Flipp
  24. Ok, I know it's not particularly relevant other than that we're both new, but it's the most appropriate place i could find. What is the "Warn:0%" thing in my box? <------ Just there None of the other "newbies" have it i've noticed... Just me That's it from me... And welcome winky 1441 Flipp
