  1. ive tried them drill piece discs before and its pretty good.but takes a while... this is just an idea i dont know if it would work but what about rubbing a wire brush on your rim? or maybe if your loaded scratch a diamond across it..(even more time consuming) sorry for the last idea it was pretty pointless but good luck best results...drill piece... max..
  2. what did he say? cant help you mate none of us understand what you mean
  3. dude...lol are you crazy? never cut an echo hub apart.theyr mint! it would be hard to weld back together as wel. a well set up disc is usually powerful enough any way.if not get a bigger rotor i almost had a heart attck when i saw that you had an idea to cut an echo hub up haha thanks max...
  4. you could always give an old tyre a try...i know a few people who have cut a section of rubber off of their old tire and cable tied it onto the frame.it seems to have good shielding qualities too and its cheap max...
  5. no place better than tartybikes mate qualiy stuff at good prices and the service is very good off adam and dave. delivery is very fast too so you will not be waiting long. tartybikes best shop IMO!
  6. cracked 3 phones on my bar... then got a new one..flippy one ... and cracked the outside display screen on the first day. cracked mp3 player too then i cracked my nuts on the stem in may....they broke too (not for the faint hearted to read on) fell on my nuts from 10 feet up and cut my sack open.but a month and 9 stitches later my sack is fine(Y) the bail is in the new teezr bailing movie auch vol.8 (you will know when you see it.all better now though...thank god i cracked a didital camera on the lens too.(when i was young and stupid) nowadays i take every precaution necassary to not break things like this.either take a bag out or dont take no phones or cameras! max...
  7. yes and it will be copper braized as it is steel tubing.i just wanted to ask around to people for input and to help me make good features.and yes everything is available.yes chris 175 mm is a tad short haha the majouity of you seem to say keep the frame long n low so i think ill go around that no higher bb than + 20/25mm about 1090 wheelbase. thanks everyone. and oh yer rick cant do an xtp hedtube the cnc work will cost lots and its steel anyway! haha.where do you think the brake mounts should be? is there any advantage of them being on the chainstay.. thanks... max...
  8. no gears deffinately.saves so much weight and space.but if you use 2 different gears then i guess that you will have to run a cassett
  9. yep lad good decision there i know a few people who ride them and they like them.good riders too! really popular frames for a reason
  10. taa i already have a zoo pitbull 05 so i would like to make it different? does anyone know if it is worth going for hi bb rises or is low better?
  11. either post something useful or dont bother.
  12. hi fellow riders. i have a friend that is an experianced engineer and this winter we are going to have a crack at making a frame.we will be using steel tubing to start with and if we get a good design we will use more expensive material.we have all of the necassary tools and machines available to us but need some ideas. so my question is, what do you think an ideal stock geometry would be? what wheelbases, chainstay legths, headtube angles, bb rises, frame heights etc , etc would you have and why? many thanks, max...
  13. i think it said in one of the old biketrial magazines that the price tag would of been around the £500 mark max.
  14. ^^^^^^^^ that is great! and yer thats pretty much the way to do it max...
  15. the fact that the pitbull spacing for the hub is mod sucks
  16. im max im from a city called hereford thats near birmingham.well sort of dunno how good the riding is here but you can ask rob walker because he has stayed with me this summer ..... in the tent
  17. what he said^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ max...
  18. your supposed to have the tpa the other way.all the way in the lever blade.although i think thats what you mean? oh well seems that you have sorted it now
  19. it sounds to me that you have bled the brake with the tpa adjusted all the way ...re bleed it with the tpa adjusted off and the pads will return hopefully lol max..
  20. id say get a mod...easier to start out on and the parts are now getting more and more available, theres less stuff to brake on a mod and they are smaller stronger and ligher.you have no gears or derailiers you have to worry about smashing and a starting bike with good brakes is relitvely cheap.also you could always switch to stock later on once you have learnt the basicsto get a feel for both types.but id say that you are better off starting with a mod. max...
  21. take it to your local bike shop? if not take it off your bike n water bleed it yourself. there should be a guide how to do it on the search on forum.if not add me to msn.my addy is on my profile thanks max...
