  1. Hi there, I am thinking of ordering a custom made frame from Marino one I have got shot of most of my TMS Evo 3 but I have a couple of questions. Obviously they can put together a design to your bespoke requirements, but: Do you think they would make custom forks (if you asked nicely)? With regards to colours, are you able to pick and choose? Can you have any custom decals put on there? How much is postage? Do you need to arrange all of the import tax as it is coming from Peru? Average postage waits? Any assistance you can all offer would be greatly welcome. Thanks, Brett
  2. It is a rediculous business model though. You would think that by keeping it at the value that you are selling it for through a vendor (especially someone like tarty) would give you the wider target audience and would remove the negaivity from vendors. Bizzarre?!
  3. Where abouts in Reading do you live? Theres a steady number of riders who live and ride Reading, me and my friend Olly have just got back onto trials bikes as well so welcome! Im usually out on a Thursday evening with some of my dj/street mates. But more often than not there are a group of riders out at the weekend at the various spots
  4. Errrrm ask Father Christmas??? Blimey, thats rediculous....so thats a no then!!
  5. Although not a lot has been posted on the TMS website... TMS SHOP I was wondering if these are going to grace our shores through Tarty at all?? Cheers, Brett
  6. If my new stem turn's up I am in there like swimwear. About time I get out and ride Reading properly
  7. Gutted, the first Thursday night im not out on the bike and im walking through town and Jack Meek and a load of other riders out in Reading. Gash! Anyone out over the weekend?
  8. Like that vid... It's nice to see that the flowing/streety trials has made more of a come back again!
  9. Not as far as im aware. Most of the stuff is only available on a full build, but there are a few parts that aren't available at all on this one (like the prototype TMS freewheel)
  10. Ha ha, its white cloth where I was having a bit of a cleaning session.... I wasn't wanking, honestly
  11. After having a few years away from trials I decided to get myself another bike. Below will be some (initial phone) pictures of the TMS that Pat Donovan was awesome enough to sell to me!! TMS 1 TMS 2 TMS 3 TMS 4 TMS 5 First time I have ridden a bike this long and high before, as my bike before giving up was an Ashton Justice so a little more old school (like my riding). Only been out on it a few hours but it already feels good, easy on the back wheel and is a good weght at around 10 Kg for the full bike. Need to get out on it more and hopefully get back to riding properly again (and get some better pics) but thought I would share it. Brett
  12. Excellent. Well I have managed to get together a small group of street riders on a Thursday night out of the guys I usually dirt jump with... But I will definately keep an eye out to see when people are riding and tag along...
  13. Ok I have been really out of the trials scene for a number of years now and finally decided to get back into it last month. So now im back at square one re-learning some of the stuff I haven't done in ages and I was wondering who lives in Reading and still rides, when they usually go and where? Cheers, Brett
  14. Some of the people I used to read about and watched when I first started out disppeared. I wonder where they went?? Ed Tongue Matt Tongue Matrin (Hawzee) Hawyes
  15. I disagree with the first part of that, I still feel that Trials is no where as big as it should be and if im honest it is almost a little secular. Besides, its a showman sport. I love the thrill of practising in a town centre with people walking past, it gives you that buzz when you do even the simple stuff. Channel 4 should definately get involved though! Also, i have found that some (and a real emphasis on that) trials riders are almost too trials focused making it almost a little separate club. Distancing it from other types of riders and riding types. Just an opinion.
  16. Yeah Tillson you will have no idea what they are
  17. Oooh I wanna answer but I will both show my age and also have to think up a question.. Rubbish
  18. I agree with this. It's whats affectionately known as a "can of worms" question. There are so many answers/opinons that people can give you this could go on for pages. Your best bet is to start by thinking what style you want to have (street/comp), look at budget, weight, a comfortable geo etc first. Then look for reviews or talk to people who own the frames that fit what your looking for. Finally and probably the best way of seeing whats there is to start borrowing people's bikes at rides to get a feel of different frames, what you like/dislike. Hope this helps.
  19. Ahh welcome on board Tillson! Now get another trials bike and come ride Reading. Oh yeah and a vote from me, need to get you back trials riding again so I can show you what you have been missing and stop you taking the p*** out of me for riding it So the quicker you get in the better!!
  20. I was invovled with that ET for a short while from Circus before it went to Munn. It was well looked after
  21. Finally completed!!!! Come see the new pics.
  22. Yeah its a tepmorary fix with the chain. Getting a 15th cog on it at the weekend. The front tyre has no tube in it hence why its soooo flat lol
  23. Yeah im not fussed about looks. It will get scratched etc anyway but it rides well and is a reasonable weight
  24. It feels alright. See how it goes after a few rides I guess
