  1. Its not that expensive to anodize a frame..We do ours with a hard coat (gunmetal) for $45
  2. Im Welsh, so im sure if they let me then all are welcome...lol
  3. The frame is a custom Haro and it has a seat to give it a "regular" bike look for the hundreds of demos he does every year. Great guy with mad skills!!
  4. Yeah, sorry i left out "with" And if you want your pads to hit the rim square then you do need to use the washers..
  5. For comparison....Caelifera backing with coust pad and 1 conical washer versus Plaz backing without pad and both of the required washers.
  6. New from Caelifera components...Vee backings and boosters Boosters weigh in at 72 grams. Made from 6061 T6 and hard anodized. 80mm-100mm spacing The backings are made from 6061 T6 and also hard anodized. Machined to look like the maggie versions only slimmer and the best part is the concave recess in the back that allows the use of a conical washer without it pushing the brake arms way out. (Pictured without the included ss bolt) Post or pm for more details...
  7. The gold, black and grey are aluminium....
  8. Or you go go a totally different route and get caelifera backings..
  9. Ali, the plastic backings are not the same material as the ones you tested. I tried to break these new ones with a hammer and failed!!!!! Hopefully tarty should be carrying a few of my parts shortly.
  10. Next up from Caelifera are the following components...(all produced in house) Aluminium boosters, bash guards and backings, anodized in three different colours. Gun metal grey, black and gold. Super light acrylic booster with intergrated spacers. And revolutionary new polycarbonate backings. These things are virtually indestructible and weigh approx 4grams each!!! Boosters are available with ss or ti bolts and backings are available with coust or the new tango rubber. Hopefully this is just the tip of the iceburg and we can continue to bring more new and exciting products to the bike trials world. Stay tuned!!
  11. You boys better get your shit together our you'll miss out!! This went out today to the first of the "around the world" US riders.

  15. The prototype frame in the pics actually has a removable rear disc mount
  16. black will be a colour option......Mod version in black.
  17. Just to clarify, the vid is to showcase the sucsess of the frame NOT my riding or editing skills.
  18. Last Wednesday i had the chance to set up the brakes on the 44 bike the correct way around and take her for a spin for a few hours. Right off the bat i noticed how stiff it felt, comparable to my coust infact. Also how comfortable it was. It usually takes me a couple of hours to adjust to different geo but i was hitting stuff first try on this bike and really enjoying the way it behaved. Im looking forward to bashing it some more over the next few weeks and clocking some more footage. Anyhow onto the vid. For some reason vimeo is being gay and wont upload it so you'll 'have to make do with a youtube link for now.
  19. Nice vid there Ivor boyo!! makes me miss that place

    44 Tango Pads

Exactly where i got the name from..The colour reminded me of the orange dude in the ads when i were a lad....Youve been tango'd!!!!! After being slapped in the face with a big orange glove..LOL The pads have been developed for rims that have a grind, i dont know anyone running smooth rims so i cant test them, they may work great. Feedback on this side of the pond has been awesome. Even converted a few die hard coust fans!!! As for the plaz refills i figured it was about time someone offered an option for all those used backings out there. They should end up being very reasonably priced too. Stayed tuned..

    44 Tango Pads

Available soon!!! Developed for max dry weather performance. Available as plastic backed magura pads, heatsink refills and plazmatic vee refills. The red is a first run intro colour, orange is the full production colour. There will be a few sets in the UK for testing very shortly.
  23. You should have put your freewheel tool in the freewheel and then put a bolt through the tool and crank arm and throw a nut on other end and tighten. This will prevent it slipping. Then put tool in vise, big bar on crank arm and turn. If you want to service the freewheel then theres no need to take it off the crank arm. Just undo the green lock ring and pull off the outer shell exposing the pawls and springs. Clean, oil and re-assemble..(grease will make your pawls stick) Its a sealed bearing so no chance of loosing any ball bearings and just take note of whick way around the pawls and spring are and youll be fine. It really is simple.
  24. That sucks man!! Dont rush to get back on the bike, Rehab is your friend now.
