  2. This year (Spode & I) are going to be putting lots of effort into our company thinkbikes.com (so watch this space) I quit my job as an aircraft enginneer just before christmas so i can put more time and effort into it, so im hopping it all goes well. Also try and come up with some new moves on the old velo (maybe so different front wheel moves as i like them so much).
  3. I hope this year brings you all quality riding.
  4. What kind of trials do you prefer, natural or street? I have done comps and natural in the past and I must say it’s a hell of a lot harder than street but it looks like street is the way its all going now plus woodland trials never appears to be very glamorous especially to the new comers.
  5. you may want to give it a good clean out and put a very little light grease, and i mean a little.
  6. If I were you I would just give hope a call or email them, they are normally good with help, returns etc
  7. Welcome to trials forums then Tom, hope you had a good xmas
  8. I always go for the largest I can get in the frame, the larger the tyre you have the lower the psi I you can run, this will help with giving you a little extra spring and more grip.
  9. You need a crank puller, if you haven’t got one there is no point in me explaining how it works because nothing will work like it, BUT.... there is another way that works some times, if your careful and that is boil the kettle and pore boiling water over the crank where it fits onto the bottom bracket and then give it a good whack with a soft hide hammer

So here's a direct link, but if you haven't seen any of the other videos we've hosted, check out the site for more <P> http://www.thinkbikes.com/media/thinkbikessheppey.avi Encoded in Xvid with MP3 audio. Comments appreciated and a Merry Christmas to all

  13. Obviously you have good days and bad days, sometimes the weather will be perfect others it will be againts you, but however and whatever things are trials should always be a challenge, I always ride according to how i'm feeling and the weather conditions. I love the bad weather because its more of a challenge. Riding in winter, rain, wind, snow will only make you a better rider...
  14. Sorry i don't have any pictures but what i use to do was buy a load of wood (ply sheets, 4"x2" lengths of of soft wood, scalfold planks) and a big box of screws then set about making odd shaped things, boxes balance rails etc, its endless.
  15. You always get people watching in kent where i ride most, i like it though because i do demos its good to see what kind of reaction you get & i normally get chatting to them about trials so as to see what feedback they give me. I would say for me its more about knowing your customer basis
  16. You could go and cut peoples grass for them, using there equipment and charge them by the hour. Easy money.
  17. yep RIP Steve, he was one hell of a guy, at least he was doing something he enjoyed...
  18. i would say the Mission 26" would be a good one to go for, just from experience, I did ride one for years I have a video of me on one from last year.If you want see it go to http://www.thinkbikes.com/videos.php and look at the street trials video, you can view it on you tube, there is a link to it there.
