Why can't you use that? Do you not have windows xp? It's not hard to use or anything. I have used the DMC loads mate to mess around with my computers second hard disk to make linux partitions etc. As long as you are careful not to right click on your computers operating system drive you are using you will not affect your computer. I very much doubt the program will let you 'break' your MBR or delete it (sorry i know what you mean now!).
-
I was refering to ingram really saying that! Anyway I understand your concern. However the windows disk management console will not let you modify the partition windows is running on afaik.
-
Let me know if you can't do it. By the way you will have to be administrator, as you may have guessed by going into administrative tools. What's mbr? Do you still have a c:\ drive then? Or you're saying there's no partition set up on the 25gb now? You can use the disk management console described above to put partitioned on unpartitioned disk space if that's the case. Otherwise i've never heard you being able to merge or expand partitions as you describe although i'm not saying it can't be done.

I've only just given arKaos a try on your mentioning it here, so maybe there is a way to make it better with more visuals or whatever, but to be honest, AVS wipes the floor with it, in my opinion. AVS is the free visualisation plug in that comes with win-amp. It is not very user friendly but the results are quite spectacular to be honest (fast computer required!)

To automatically select os Right click my computer go advanced tab clcik settings button in startup and recovery select the one you want to automatically boot and put '0' seconds as the tiome to display ok ok Sorted Edit: To change disk drive letter Go start-->control panel open 'administrative tools' (if you cant see it click 'switch to classic view') double click computer management on the left, click 'disk management'. on the right now opens the disk management console showing you your disks. right click on the one you want to change the letter of and press 'change drive letter and paths...' sorted x2

There are loads of places out there that will give you loans mate. Just spell your name a bit different. Like Rick-->Ricky. That'll fool the credit checks. As for the idea of loans, well all I can say is . I used to be sceptical of loans, but I was wrong. I used to worry about getting into debt and joepardising my future, but my eyes are open now . A few years ago I was watching some TV program where celebrities were spending huge sums of money on luxury items, and I thought, why don't I deserve that?! So I took out a £10,000 loan and was away! Now I shop at waitrose not aldi, and I go out on the bike in gucci and armarni suites, it's so cool! The money quickly went away and the repayments were quite high, so i obviously needed another loan so i took out £25,000 and I still have half of that left! It's so good being able to show people my bank balance of over £17,000 Seriously mate there is no down side, I would take the loan out, plus a bit more so you can live your life to the max Brought to you by ocean finance

Getting Married Soon, Only One Problem....give Me Your Thoughts
Extreme_biker0 replied to lego's topic in Chit Chat
So he's not going to come to a wedding that he's paying for? Or is he not paying for it??? I'm not saying that that's the big issue here, rather that if he's willing to pay for the wedding as the tradition dictates, it's a sure sign that he's at least happy that his daughter is getting married regardless. And this should be your encouragement to ask him again to go. -
Good decision, this is a constructive argument. Thinking about it more, I have changed my mind. I still think you are very irresponsible, but for a different reason. If, as you say, it was a clear road with 99.99999999% chance of nobody being around, then fine, we all take risks. However, do you really think it was appropriate to come on a public forum, where the majority of readers are between 15-20, and brag that you drove a car like this uninsured, underage, and illegally and claim 'IT WAS FUN!!!'? No. If it was safe, keep it to yourself. Thats where most of my problem with this thread lies.
-
I see your point. I'm not really arguing about what this guy's doing though. I wouldn't normall post angryly about someone doing this kind of thing. What I am arguing with is the 'tards that are arguing FOR driving round like a maniac uninsured when there IS a risk of hitting something else. And when this happens, flipkickbs, if you didn't figure it out, it's the insured persons insurance who pays out, thus reducing there profits, thus they put premiums up.
-
There's an age limit on driving for a reason. Vehicles are dangerous things and as you grow up, you generally get more responsible. There isn't however an age limit on killing someone in a car.

This sentence just shows how stupid you, and therefore the rest of your ill informed argument is. You absolute retard! Yeah it's fun to break the rules. Sometimes. I don't know how to bring this home to you without upsetting you. All i'll say is, next time you and your family are in a car, going somewhere, and you turn onto a country lane, think back to this thread, and what this guy was doing. Mark

Exactly. you live and learn, today you learned that voltage is key. No, it doesn't. As a 20 year old i feel past my years saying this, but man what the f**k? The fact that people are coming out of acedemic facilities with qualifications supporting there supposed excellence in subjects they know not that much about is frankly scary. A lot of money gets done down these educational facilities, and for what?! God this should be in the too drunk and just got in thread not this thread! Sorry for being a biartch!
-
That's complete bullshit mate! The rated current is just the maximum that the charger can output. If the voltage is correct or lower, the battery isn't going to draw any more current than normal is it!? Think of electricity like water in a pipe. Voltage is the preassure of the water around the pipe, and current, quite obviously, is the amount of water travelling around the wires. The battery being charged is like a valve letting the water through and getting energy from it to charge itself up. Voltage is the main thing to watch out for. Increasing the voltage is like increasing the water preasssure. It will force more water around the system (increase the current!). This is a bad thing and will damage the battery. You cannot say that you have increased the current to the battery by putting it on a higher current charger. The current is decided by the resistance in the battery and the voltage. You can only increase the current by increasing the voltage (water preasure!) and therefore forcing more electricity (water) around the system. Geddit!?

Is the standard input voltage of the pocket pc 5V? If so 4.5V won't hurt it. I run a slightly lower voltage one in my car cos it was cheaper. Just takes longer to charge. Havn't noticed any bad effects.

So true. Yes, for the average retard, a mac is better. There are less of them, by a few orders of magnitude, which makes them less of a target for virus writers. You don't have to run any because there are hardly any viruses out there, not because it's hard to write them, but like i've already said, there are not really enough mac's on the net for a virus to proporgate. I disagree. Maybe for the average 'retard' as we seem to be refering to inexperienced users yes, because of the lack of viruses, the mac system would *seem* more secure. In reality, there are probably more exposed holes in the mac OS right now than there are in windows, what with so many of windows' flaws being found and exploited and patched already. Holes *do* exist in the mac OS. Just as windows sure as hell didn't mean for there to be any holes but there were, apple will have programmed holes into it's OS just the same. Millions of lines of code go into an os, and it can't be perfect. But windows is patched for most, mac os isn't. Be afraid!

I remember it being cheaper to call from o2 to o2 than landline to o2 when my girlfirned went on holiday once. Saved a shed load on charges. By the way how illeterate are you?! 17% of the words in your post are spelt wrong or text speak! This forum is just getting so hard to read sometimes!

Recently I've been considering my options as far as the above are concerned. However, there is so much to consider. My main worry is financially. I will be moving to a different town, but it is not too far away from where I currently live, plus I have good friends in the destination town already, so friends are not a problem. So like I said, it's the finance. I've been considering posting for a while to be honest, but it felt like the questions I wanted to ask were a little too personal and nobody would reply, but after seeing all the honest replies to the how much do you earn thread, I think the forum would respond positively now. Anyway here goes: 1. How old were you when you moved out? 2. How much did you earn at said point in time? 3. Where did you move to? (House+mortguage? Room+rent?) 4. How much did accommodation cost? 5. Were you happy with your decision, and could you live comefortably? Cheers, any insight is much appreciated Mark

IMO perfect film to watch with gf. It's got something for both of you to enjoy. And while the directors cut leaves you thinking, it'll bring an emotional tear to her eye too! (which most girls like, for some reason )

Me too, it's as if someone posts something useless like this every 5 minutes... Wierd
