  1. This is what has sparked my desire to own my own home early, and to get my feet on the ladder firmly before I start to add other things to my life.

Then she told me that Grandpa has said that if I repaint the house and sort the garden out I can move in as soon as I like, and leave as early as I like with no deposit for £400 a month. He won't skim some off the top to put into saving like he did with my sister, and he knows I'm really struggling living with my parents after living away for so long.

So you're just renting it off your grandad? Why not just buy your own place and put the £400 towards a mortgage?

  2. Hello all.

I am currently running folding Mountain Kings front and rear, the front being a Supersonic handmade original tread pattern one, the rear being a cheaper harder compound in the 'mk2' pattern.

I usually ride places with lots of gravel and rock rather than particularly muddy places.

I don't ride huge miles so I'm not bothered about tread wear, but whats the grippiest compound and best tread pattern for this kinda riding?

I'd guess around the 2.2" mark is a good size. Not too bothered about brand or price for the minute, just needs to be fairly light and definitely folding bead.

    Thanks!

  3. I try and use disabled toilets wherever possible, always bigger and often cleaner. I'm usually pretty quick so don't really see a huge problem with it. Unless I am in a cafe with a Disabled Mothers UK meeting in which case I'll use a normal toilet. That said I never park in disabled spots so not sure if I'm being hypocritical.

  4. And Jardo has a new daily.

What sort of person are they marketing these at?

I can think of one person it would be good for - Old people (especially women) who live in rural areas and might need the 4x4. But you can have all the diff locks and electronic tricks in the world, but tyres will let you down even on a muddy flat field. Unless they fit decent offroad tyres, in which case why not buy a Suzuki Jimny or similar?

  5. Both of mine are f**ked, partially tore / sprained / whatever both of the ligaments in the past. Left due to snowboarding on a skateboard deck (10 years ago), right rolling it in a comp (6 years ago). Both mostly healed but still hurt about once a month when I manage to jar them in the wrong way, but not enough for me to do anything about it. My knees arn't great either so I've decided to just buy a wheelchair when I can no longer walk.
