  1. Does the PC still give you the chance to go to "Last Known Good" when you push F8 when it's starting? Pick that if it does. You might get lucky. Failing all else... if it's desperate, get someone to make you a BartPE disc, like Windows on a CD. Slow, but it reads and writes windows directories properly and you would be instantly familiar with it. I use one I made a long time ago, mainly because I haven't got around to making a more up to date one. I haven't tried using Knoppix for that purpose, or any of the many Linux-On-CDs. INSERT looks interesting for what you'd need.
  2. I hope you get what you wanted. I would love for you to get a bargain, no doubt, but once I tried to buy a webcam (nice Philips Toucam II Pro after some research) and Amazon had 'new and used from £19', against their ordinary prices of £38 and up from everywhere else. I bought one, and was very surprised to receive something completely different. The seller had quite a bit of feedback, too. On emailing the seller, he said I should read the description where it said first thing in capital letters 'NOT THE ITEM SHOWN (equivalent or better camera)' so this seller was selling something completely different off the back of what I wanted. I wasn't having any of that, so complained to Amazon, forwarding his email, and they did give me my money back after a couple of weeks and that seller's item disappeared from that webcam's 'new and used' section. The only contact I ever had from the seller was an email telling me to send it back to the following address... but then not including the address. Pity the webcam was a piece of shit. I felt a twat for following the automated process for buying an item, but normally I don't expect to have to read the description of something I am buying again (that's my excuse for not paying attention and I know it's not a good one). Anyway, getting back to the point, if you don't get what you expect or it turns out bad in some way, complain by email to the seller, then to Amazon and they most likely will sort you out. Not sure about the postage, though. My own experience was positive. Still don't have that webcam, though.
  3. It's not a 26" version of the Zona Zip. I would direct you to HERE for the pictures (check the page after for others). We did build up both to Woodstock spec and took them to Cycle 2005 at Excel, so a few of you should have seen the built up versions.
  4. I hope you actually intend to buy a new hanger. Otherwise you may find that being stingy can set your teeth free .
  5. I've been on here so long I remember when Mark didn't have his bird posing naked on the forum all the time. I'm sure it was something else at one time. I like the idea of an Invision bug, however.
  6. Sorry, I was very busy today. I just knocked together a little drawing for you. Hope this helps. I did have a photo at work, but I don't always look at the forum every day... EDIT: Looking at it, I think that should read "the 20" only sort" and for the convertible sort you need a longer bolt at one end.
  7. From the album: Onza Bikes and Parts

Bad illustration of old 19"/20" adjustable brake mount.
  8. Check it out: I looked in the help section and entered "retract a bid" and ended up on this page: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/questions/retract-bid.html If you retract a bid all retracted bids show up just below your feedback (as far as I've seen). If you can get the seller to cancel your bid, fine, if not retract the bids (you have to, or maybe end up with enough unpaid bidder strikes that you might get banned.) EDIT: and change your password to a much more unguessable one "j03_3ld1ng" with underscores and numbers and stuff, but that you can remember.
  9. You need to look at the T-Bird LE rear brake mounts to see if it is one of the sort that can truly adapt from 19" to 20" (there will be a little alloy block under the brake mount at either the top or the bottom). Picture tomorrow if I can get a spare moment. To complicate matters sometimes people just attach their Maguras with Evo mounts, which fit across the entire gap. You might see what I mean from the above mentioned pictures, when I edit this and put them on tomorrow. Some of the LEs were 20" only, although even then I heard of people putting the Maguras to the lowest position and running them (even at a slight angle) on 19" wheels. Apart from the brake mounts the frames are exactly the same frame as the current - silver - T-Bird. They are a good beginners bike (but then I would say that, wouldn't I )
  10. Ah, yes. MBUK underestimated it a little. £539. If front disk and a black fork interest you, £589. You know, this might get me in trouble... EDIT: Grrrrr
  11. It has been possible for a little while now. The main sticking point was that the blue forks hadn't arrived. We did a disk front brake version for a bit more using the black Smart Guys, but this was the first occasion I had to take a proper photo - I've been busy, what can I say?
  12. I've never had a custom bike, must be nice to be able to afford one... I remember reading in the early arguments that this bike was 24" but didn't look "dirt" enough. I'm not sure now if people are saying the geometry is right but not the look, or are both the look AND the geometry "wrong". Joking aside, it's impossible to make a bike that everyone will like. Some people do already have Zoots so you will have to find them and ask them for a ride. If you still haven't seen one, it looks like this:
  13. From the album: Onza Bikes and Parts

Our first picture of a standard spec Zoot
  14. dem@onza.com would get deleted as junk before I even saw it...
  15. We might be able to sort you out. You will need an excellent free photo program I came across recently, called Photofiltre (Webpage Here). Try this now with any photo you have... 1. open photo in program 2. use the menu, go to Adjust -> Hue/Saturation 3. move the hue slider, let go and wait for the magic to happen. I think you can quite easily get to a blue that you like. It's a nice program, you can do the colour adjustments in it too. Whether I have a Zona logo as a picture I do not know .
  16. On the original drawing and on the frame, the chainstay length is 380mm and the BB rise is 35mm. The length of the bike is 1040 and the head angle is 73°. Given all that, can you tell what the bike is like to ride :P ? It's like one of those"Mr Green lives next door to the man with red hair" puzzles.
  17. I bought my last memory card from http://www.offtek.co.uk/. Transcend fast SD. You didn't say what kind of memory card it was you wanted. EBuyer doesn't like anybody, but I do sometimes manage to buy stuff off them.
  18. We've said it before: we'd love to get last years footage back. Someone said they'd do it, and we haven't heard from him since, except a little sampler CD he sent... you know who you are, if you're on here. EDIT: this year our organiser got someone in specially to do it. Heaven knows what will happen, but I think the editing is finished.
  19. I suspect what the man's after is whether he might be able to use it as a general purpose MTB as well... You can't. Some people have asked for Raptors with long seatposts so they can do that. We have a couple of objections: 1. The seatclamp ain't strong enough (probably) for sitting on the seat while it's stuck out on a post. 2. If you do, it will bend and if you persist it can break and... 3. You'll end up with 23.4mm (I think) of goodness where you definitely weren't expecting it. It might be sharp, too. The Woodstock can take a normal post and seat if you want, but it's a bit twitchy as a mountainbike. On the other hand, if you only meant, can you sit on it as it is, yes you can, it's fine for that but just won't be comfy for long periods at a time.
  20. Or if you phone up and ask nicely, you MIGHT be able to buy the magenta one. Mind you, there is only one. No promises though. I finally saw the MBUK article. I'm not sure why they turned it grey.
  21. HAVE A CLOSER LOOK (N) and a bigger one of the whole frame They'll only be available as complete bikes until the end of November when we hope the rest will arrive.
  22. I knew you preferred the magenta. This is the final colour. It takes normal headsets, not integrated - the silverness you can see are the reinforcing rings.
  23. Yes, phone Supercycles. They will need to know: sealed bearing or open bearing, screw-in or splined.
