  1. Onza T-rex Exellent bike to start off on. Josh.
  2. Hey. What rear gear change do you run? Josh...
  3. True. Although I have to say it is pretty good, he holds it on the front for a long time. Josh.
  4. Hey. Welcome to Trials-Forum. Remember to read the guidlines and you should get validated in no time. Tarty Bikes - Try that out for some good bike parts etc. Also... In my opinion 26" wheels are better. Cheers, Josh.
  5. I use echo reds on smooth rim. No tar. They work great in the wet and dry. I am not a fan of grinds because: 1) They eat the pads too fast. In my case I can't afford to keep replacing them. 2) The rim becomes weaker. After 8 or so grinds you'll end up having to get a new rim. I am not a fan of tar because: 1) Wheel locks up randomly sometimes. 2) If it rains you're nackered! Tar is an oil based substance so when it gets wet you've got oil on your rim. My opinion on it anyway. Cheers, Josh.
  6. Alright. Tell them to naff off, then go ride somewhere else. Don't get it much in my area anyhow. Cheers...
  7. Hey. I run an Onza carbon fibre brake booster, have done for a while now and I have to say, although I havn't had much experience with many different boosters, the Onza carbon is super! It's stupidly light weight and super strong, it barely flexes with full pressure on the brake. A very effective brake booster in my opinion. Here's a photo of an Onza carbon booster. I think It's the year up from mine, not too sure....... Cheers, Josh.
  8. Hey. I found that very interesting, and although my Magura HS33 is fairly new, I'm sure this will come in handy when it starts to age a bit. Really good of you to put the effort in. Well done! Cheers, Josh.
  9. Hey I have an Ashton Justice, and I have to say, that is really nice, Good work! One thing I would change though, as has already been said, the front tyre. Apart from that, great! Cheers, Josh.
  10. That's unreal! Nice find, that drop as well It would be enough for me to just attempt dropping it normally never mind doing a front flip Thanks, Josh.
  11. Hi, Could somebody please explain what "referrals" are, and how I would go about putting an Add on Ebay please? Thank you, Josh.
  12. Hi Simon, I don't currently have a website but I have done in the past. I have thought about taking up the challenge again sometime though, hopefully I will and I'll inform you and the other members as soon as possible. Thanks, Josh.
  13. Good to see improvement, although unfortunately the pictures on the videos page didn't load up for me (Anyone else having this problem?). Keep updating the site quite frequently but don't rush and produce lower grade quality, just take your time over it and do a good job; this should hopefully increase the sites popularity. All I can say now is good luck with the site for the future; and remember, feel free to e-mail me if you need any help/advice. Thanks, Josh.
  14. Hi, Well for a first attempt it's not to bad. The key thing I would concentrate on is the media side of things; I know it's early days but I think the more quality media you add (Pictures & Videos) the more interest you will get. Secondly, personally I have a lot more respect for web sites that people have put the effort in of designing and making on their own. I have taken into account this is your first attempt and I do respect your efforts but I think if you are considering using the web as a way of show caseing Bike trials then you should almost certainly consider taking up the challenge of designing and making your own web site in the near future. If you feel you could use some help then feel free to contact me via: joshuas_46@hotmail.co.uk I will try my best to help you out in any way possible. Thanks, Josh.
  15. I thought that was a great video. I thought that the editing was just right, it wasn't "over edited". As with a lot of videos to date the editing is slightly over the top and hides the quality of the riding too much, sort of like it's unnatural. A good example of this in my opinion is Craig Lee Scotts latest video, I really thought there was too much slow motion in it, which did spoil it slightly for me. Another good point I'd like to make on this video is the riding style; I found it was really good quality, but at the same time it wasn't over the top, as with some more willing, extreme riders. I found Bens style really relaxed and smooth, and in my opinion that is a good rider who can really control the bike well and has true talent in the sport. This video reminded me of back when I had my first trials bike and how much more fun it seemed back then, whereas now I feel I tend to push myself to a sort of "uncomfortable" level when riding with friends. Thanks, Josh.
  16. Thanks for all the replys so far. Thanks for this link ^ inparticular it helped quite a lot! And I think I'm probably going to go for the tarty pads as I found that the riders review described my riding style/type best. All comments much appreciated. Thanks Josh.
  17. Hi, I've been looking at a range of different brake pads for Magura HS33's. My old Magura kool stops have worn out and i didn't think much of them from the start. I have read numerous descriptions on the available pads but can't decide as they are all quite similar etc. I ride mostly natural but a bit of street every now and then so I need a pad that's got "a bit of both". I used to run a light grind on my rim but found that the Magura kool stops tended to work better on a smooth rim as they are harder compound. What I'm looking for here is peoples opinions/experiences on different brake pads. Any help much appreciated! Thanks, Josh.
