  1. Sounds like a topic for Jon Mack!
  2. Mine was awful! I had Rock blues though, maybe they ripped through the grind faster than most pads.
  3. Try-Alls are pretty shite for holding grinds, Echo holds them best but is also the heaviest. You could always modify an Echo to make it lighter?

I should have done really, I just assumed they were the same as the Hoesel.

They are more difficult than with the mount on the top, but it's not that hard. The hard bit is getting the brake off the frame, you have to take the lever blade off to pass the lever body through the hole that the caliper sits in. It's worth it though, it's so clean and almost impossible to bash.
  6. And mine is 10 years older than yours Dave!
  7. I think where any cardio is concerned, you can't really do too much, you can judge for yourself how hard your working.
  8. It was a really good ride, seems like we got the best of the whether, it's been raining pretty much non stop round our end since I got home.
  9. What? You like to sleep with bicycles, but are also doing Joe from Onza on the side? I don't get it.
  10. I don't often watch all of a video that long, it was great, really interesting to watch.
  11. Don't send them anything, it's bullshit. He would never, EVER send a cheque for a grand, he'd cash the cheque and write you a new one for £85. Is it on Ebay or summat? I just wouldn't even reply to it.
  12. I reckon if you went for some grind specific pads you'd do ok? I was building a back wheel for my mate once, and at the time the rim hadn't been ground, so it had rock blues on a smooth rim. It was pretty much what your describing, but it didn't have enough hold for the back.
  13. If it did, I'd have done it by now. I think that the main hole saves around 20g on average. So I'd put that at around 35g.

Are they the same geo as the rage bars? And 29/30" long?
  15. Sounds like you need the Poopipe method matey. EDIT: I just saw how that would look to everyone reading it who didn't know Poopipe is a member on here.
  16. Tarty do sell Muscleman cranks I think, but you'd be better off getting Trialtech or Echo ones, they are around the same price I think.
  17. Nah, the best way is to get validated, and buy a second hand bike from on here. Like this one: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=123815
  18. Ali C used a Shimano Deore/LX lever on a Louise caliper once I believe, worked pretty well apparantly.
  19. When I cut 100g off my rear tyre, it was a big difference, it definately rode very differently.
