  1. Biofuels & jam? EDIT: b*****d spellchecker!
  2. Yes Danny, I do ride it. Badly, but I do ride it. I did manage to break a spoke I'll have you know! She doesn't get an easy life!
  3. I think methanol is a better idea, the government could pass a law saying that all cows had to where a gas collecting nappy type device, then there you go. Instant, sustainable cheap fuel!
  4. You had to catch me picking my nose haha. It was a great ride Matt, thanks for showing us around! EDIT: Matt, Ryan's second name is Trickett.
  5. How easy are the eyelets to get out? Can they be got at with pliers or would they need drilling? EDIT: Why on earth have you taken the finish off the sidewalls, it's a completely wasted process! Everyone who has DD would want black sidewalls, and all the maggy uses would grind it off straight away.
  6. The best thing you can do is find some local riders to ride with, it's much easier to diagnose problems for people when your there watching them. It doesn't say on your profile what county your from, but if you set it too the right one, then you can click it and it gives you a list of other riders in the area.
  7. Can't wait to find out what colour it will be! Don't tell us yet though. I like surprises.
  8. If you want my advice, try and find a cheap Magura Louise. My brother has one and it's really good, the feel of it is a bit too stiff for me, but it's easily as powerful as any of the Mono Trials I've had/got.

I had Echo Forged cranks wth a Tensile on a 122, but I had to grind the crank down a bit so the freewheel would screw on without the spacer. Theres a plain bit after the thread, so I didn't grind any of the thread off. I'm now running a Monty TI bb and cranks, both Isis, with a Tensile ffw, an atomz bashring and about 4mm of space. Nice.
  10. I'd have a look on tartybikes.co.uk if I were you, they have the best customer service of anyone I've ever ordered anything from! I'm 5'11" and 165lbs, and I ride Mod. There are lots of different geometry styles even once you've picked a wheelsize. I've got a long wheelbase with a high bottom bracket, but there are loads to choose from. If you've only got £240, I wouldn't buy new. You can buy a second hand T-Pro for that, which is a much better bike than a T-Vee or T-Bird.
  11. I had a Monty, I didn't like it much though. I prefer 60 click to 72 because I find I can feel when the pawls have dropped properly when setting up for something, so I don't end up not engaging it fully and causing it to skip when I go to do whatever move I happen to be doing.
  12. You can strip the lever right down and clean it out, but the slaves all you can do is blow through them with a tube really. What I found was that after a few rides, the oil left in there rose to the top of the brake, in the lever, so you can simply undo both bleed bolts, attach the syringe to the slaves and blow it all out. For best results, do a bucket bleed.
  13. I've watched it a couple of times, and i think you look smoother on Mod, but your riding's a bit bigger on stock. EDIT: Can you trialstube it? I want to download it into my keepies folder.
  14. They're shite, my mate has had 2, and they both died within 3 months. My Tensile will be 2 years old in december, get ones of those, but clean the grease out when it's new.
  15. You need to ride both and decide for yourself, I'm exactly the same height as you and I've got a mod.
  16. I weighed mine at 1.4kg, so it's only just more than double the weight of a set of dobs.
  17. Do they make a Mod sized version by any chance?
  18. Less white and green, more black! That's my old one, I kinda want another one now haha.
  19. Not with my set-up, I've got a creepy crawler on a Monty TI rim, and it only rolls if I'm hopping on the back wheel on a surface that's pretty damn steep!
  20. Oh I shall, you'll see why when you get home on Saturday. Enjoy yourself dude! I might well ring you up some time during the day.
  21. Why do they need to be 49mm? I've got a Monty TI and it's width has never been a problem. A wider rim than most on the market can only cause more problems if you ask me, with brake set-up etc.
  22. I really wish I could come Jonny, but I'm going out for my birthday celebrations that day!
