I'd always wrap things seperately, the freewheel could have done the damage I reckon, I know from dropping an old pair of cranks that the threads get dented/flatted off pretty easily, it was only about 2 foot from the ground, so if something had hit the bag in transit then I would have thought it had done the damage.

Cheers dude. I didn't shorten the forks, the guy who owned them before me got them shortened by a proper carbon fibre company, they've been great so far, I've been trying to learn hooks recently, I can already japslap though and they've put up with me doing that for about 6 months now I think.
  4. Why? They're a piece of piss to set up compared to IS.

No sorry, it's just a flat, 3mm thick piece of steel in a loopy sort of L shape, with a bolt through it. It's not even a roller on the bolt, the chain just runs over the spacer from an old jockey wheel, and the outer plate is one of the plates from the same jockey wheel. I'm going to try and make a roller for it, because even though it works really well and hasn't jammed or chucked the chain yet, it's really loud.

They are trials forks! I've got some Echo Lites at home aswell, they went back on a few weeks ago, then rapidly came off again. These are just so much nicer! I forgot to mention the forks. Anyone who is now wondering about them, please look in my old topics as I think I'll have answered every question about them in there.

Tis Muel, it comes from Samuel. But yeh it's pretty much my name, most people call me Muel these days. I photoshopped them and got Poisson on here to print them for me, they came out really well methinks.

If your referring to the elastic band around the front brake, it's to make the bike stand up, so the front wheel doesn't roll. See the rock? I've got discs, why would I need them anyway?

Oh she gets ridden. The tensioner was just a little something I knocked up to test a theory I had about why my rear brake was so spongey, and I was right. It was because the disc was pulled out of the caliper too far, this worked well enough, so I can't be bothered changing it now. I think the chain needs replacing, it must be about 9 months to a year old now.
  11. I've made a few updates to my Echo, so I thought I'd take some snaps and wack them up. I really like that one, dunno why but it just seems like a good angle. FRAME: Echo Lite 08 Long. 12. Basically, fit it, and take it a bit easy while it's still tightening because it will want to slip a bit at first as it tightens.
  13. If you want TIs, you gotta get TIs.
  14. They are definately not the same, I'm sure, I had two bikes at one point, one with TIs in white and one with PRs. The PRs have much more extreme geometry, the rise on them is a good deal bigger, and they have more upsweep and back sweep. I have been told that the 219 bars are very similar geo to the TIs, Tarty sell them I think.
  15. Wow, it's moved on a lot since I was there! The bits I rode were brilliant, and it looks like a load of extra bit's have been added since then!
  16. I hear CJ will be up for it, should be a proper laugh then.
  17. You'll have fun Jon, you can't usually get at the circlip because the lever blade gets in the way, and you can't get that out easily. Undo the lever pivot bolt and take it out, and try to get hold of the push rod with a pair of long nose pliers, you'll have to squeeze very hard, and use the lever blade to unscrew the brass barrel from the push rod. Now you should hopefully have the lever body with the push rod poking out of it, so you can remove the circlip and the pushrod should come out. If you leave the topcap sealed, sometimes you can manage to keep the piston inside the lever, normally it pops out though, so once you've fitted the new push rod and put the circlip back in, you'll need to rebleed it. It's a very fiddly job, but I've done it a couple of times and never struggled too much. I put a big jubilee clip round the pliers the last time, it was just slipping all the time. Too quick for me, how did you get around the lever blade to get the circlip out? Mabe it's just my plier/point thingies, they have massive arms on them.
  18. I've always hated Try-Alls on the rear, they grip well but they arn't very bouncy, the rebound seems really sluggish. I'd get a Monty on the rear, I always thought mine gripped slightly better than my creepy crawler, and if anything was bouncier. I had two bikes at once so I could ride them next to each other.
  19. Sweet, we'll have to see how it plays out, I'm pretty happy with my Montys now they are extended to 30", but we'll see, I really like the look of the Trialtechs.
  20. Thought about bringing the bars out in white Dave? I'd definately considor a set.
  21. With a sock. EDIT: Jokes. Yeh, too far really.
  22. Jesus Christ Danny. Jon, Lol.
  23. EDIT: Your not my fwend any more.
