  1. [Mat-Ty!] .... Fair enough.... I should not have phrased it like that. It wasn't meant literally. Sorry, ladies. What I meant was the courage to put it on the line and take that high risk (but oh so rewarding) hop.
  2. I have tried to upload an avatar to show up by my name on my posts. I ended up uploading a pic that shows in my profile, but I don't understand how to set an avatar. I have searched for this topic, but was unable to find a straightforward answer. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!
  3. Being in the US, I have never even seen a 24". Are they very popular, or do they have a more limited following?
  4. That makes me sad... but thanks, superstar, for spelling it out for me.
  5. Wait! Are you saying that CLS quit riding? Somebody please tell me that I am not reading this correctly. All of these pronouns make it a bit cumbersome to interpret.
  6. You should consider a dual disc Ti I'm just kidding, bro. I hope that you enjoy whichever bike you end up with!
  7. I live in the US, and my household contains 3 bikes bought from this country. It is very obvious that bikes are cheaper here... probably because there is little demand in this country. So, if you made the currency conversions, it may be cheaper. This is ironic, however, considering that all of the bikes would be shipped to this country from the manufacturer and then built up and shipped back to you in Europe. As my housemate says, the US is the Mexico of trials bikes. A 221ti costs $2250 US, which converts to 1153 pounds... and there is no way that it would cost 300 pounds for shipping... considering that the price on tartybikes is 1455 pounds. I can't say for sure, but I think that it might be cheaper. www.trialsin.com www.webcyclery.com I have bought from both of these sites and can say that they are both first rate!
  8. Those are nice pics indeed. It looks like quite a fun day. Whenever I see pictures or vids on this forum, I feel an overwhelming sense of envy. There are always several people riding together, cheering in the background, laughing at your bails, and just hanging out. That is much different from the US. Everyone here is too concerned with being fat and out of shape to go partake in any good old fun! I can't wait to leave this country! Anyway, sorry about the rant. Like I said, good pics.
  9. My roomate ordered an a3, all black, from webcyclery.com. Well, they just finished building it Friday and have put the new pic on their website! http://www.webcyclery.com/product.php?prod...=411&page=1 Check it out, as it is pretty sweet looking. Not bad for a first bike!
  10. 07 221 ti.... Scotchbrite... Black bars instead of white... Yeah, I feel pretty lucky.
  11. My girlfriend was recently shopping around for a bike. She talked to many retailers and we were told that, regardless of her size, with the combination of less upper body strength (which tends to be the case in girls) and a lower center of gravity (which is always the case in girls), something short with a high tube angle is going to perform better. Tim (from trialsin) told me that this would help get her on the back wheel comfortably... without that, she will feel like the sport is beyond her and any money you spent on the bike would be pointless. Then again, also according to people much more knowledgeable than I am, the successful geometry of a bike goes far beyond wheelbases and angles. So, if you really want to get something good for her, you should probably get her to try some different bikes... but anyone on this forum will tell you that.
  12. I, too, hate when there is an awesome song in a vid and I can't figure out who it is. Lucky for you, this is not one of those instances. The song is Idioteque by Radiohead. You can find it on the album "Kid A." Here is a link to the torrent if you are looking: http://www.meganova.org/details/372890.html
  13. I live in the US... which means that access to anything not related to fast food, wal-mart, or political propaganda is almost completely limited to the internet. Given that fact, I lack the ability to go to a nice shop and check out the car racks, but would guess that many normal racks would not hold mods very well. I have, therefore, relegated my dilemma to the forum. Does anyone have suggestions on a rack that I could fit on a Honda that would allow me to get my bike safely from destination to destination? Any info will help, as I have absolutely nothing to go on right now. Thanks to all in advance.
  14. I think that the vid was quite nice. It's tough to make a first vid, and those who have not tried can not understand. Anyway, though the music was slow, it set a pace, and I am a big fan of using any music other than heavy metal or rock. I just think that ultra heavy music sets the stage for energy... but without flow. Since smaller tricks flowing from one to the other is much more impressive than a single big trick, more of that theory should carry over into the music that accompanies the riding. I liked it....
  15. I have wanted to ride for several years now, but being in college drained any fundage that I was able to amass. Now, however, though still in school, I have managed to procure enough money to get a very nice bike. I ordered it over a month ago, but getting anything trials related beyond the borders of EU and AU takes quite a long time. It should be here any day.... meaning that I have been riding for.... oh, like -2 days. Geez, I guess that doesn't even qualify me as a noob. Shame on me for waiting for so long!
