  1. All relevant forms should be available on the website www.ukbiketrial.co.uk , either in downloads or links The most important thing is to enter the trial , all competitors in the Genuine British Championship will qualify for a free BIU license ,forms are downloadable from the website, if you do not have yours in advance of the day forms can, if necessary be filled in then. As far as club membership is concerned . There are ACU affiliated clubs all over the country, we recommend you join and support your local club each club may make a charge for membership, some to cover the cost of admin or a newsletter some may not charge at all. You do not have to be a member of a club that runs biketrials if you have another club nearby, perhaps they might like to run biketrials if aproached possibly with an offer of help. To obtain your ACU license you have to fill out an application form which will be countersigned by the club which you are a member of,in advance of the event you would fill out the form and if it is your firist application attach a photo and send with a ten pound fee to the ACU , alternatively you could fill this form out on the day, preferably bringing a photo if necesary with you ( if you forget this can be sorted out later) To save Dave (EBTC- Hook woods firist round) and his team work on the day, if possible it would be helpful if riders could do what they can in advance of the day, entering the trial is key everything else is possible ,
  2. Just a note from the motorcycle trials side of things ,The club secretary of Yeadon Guiseley & District Motor Club, Sue Smith is in regular contact with the landowner, and they intend to do what they can to remedy the situation, as far as use of the land in the future is concerned
  3. contacted dave bradley EBTC ,forms to download at www.ukbiketrial.co.uk , closing date 23rd april for the 1st round british championships , other dates on the site www.ukbiketrial.co.uk this weekend
  4. should be ok for a bit i will speak to dave bradley or give him a ring in the evenings details and entry forms www.ukbiktrial.co.uk must be alright this week the closing date was a bit early best wishes anthony
  5. Dear Biketrial Rider Your new website has been up and running for about a month now, early feeedback has been very positive, but already we are looking for new ideas ,links ,downloads and anything else you think we should be providing you information on , its your site and we want you to help us make it better www.ukbiketrial.co.uk
  6. To get an ACU license you will have to be a member of an ACU affiliated club , usualy these are in the ACU handbook ,which you may have from last year, Tyke trial ,NBTC , EBTC ,Hampshire and West of England are all prominent biketrial clubs who are in the 2007 ACU handbook, all charge different amounts for membership their are also several other clubs which run biketrial events in local areas, obviously if you are telling me that tyke trial have not renewed their ACU affiliation ( cost somewhere around £20 for renewal) then either you lend them the money or i do. Failing that then yes i am sure one of the other clubs will be able to help you out, as i think i have posted elsewere if you wish to ride in the british championship as long as dave bradley has your entry everything else can be sorted on the day. However it would help him on the day if as much as possible was done before the day.Hope this is clearer.
  7. A full official british championship will be announced within 10 days. We currently have seven firm offers of rounds with venues covering the country. For some reason at the moment we are being swamped by people who want to help. At the moment the plan is best five from six. Some people will be disapointed that they dont get a round. When you are running a british championship ,you have a responsability to cover the country, and although your dates should have preference, it is polite to try to avoid clashes with events that are close to you.
  8. you have plenty of time, chill, download the entry form from www.ukbiketrial.co.uk send it of in the usual way

As a commitee, we made the decision at the 24th feb meeting that in line with several other countries ,we would drop the gear rule as a experiment for 2007 .I realise you may be disapointed about this but we feel it will encourage more riders to take part, as you will be aware for international events the gear rule still currently applies at least for 2007. any other questions please give me a call, your dad has my number best wishes Anthony

  14. Dear Fred Will you and or Tyke Trial, if you wish to run a round of the british biketrial championship:- 1. Remove the six gear rule 2. Charge £15 entry fee 3. Pay a fee which enables championship awards ,team kit and organisational running expenses to be covered 4. Run under a democratic organisation 5. Run under rules which respect the riders right of appeal, which are consistant and fair to all 6. Run under an organisation which enables officials and marshals to be protected 7. Are you willing to be involved in a process which selects suitable rounds by consensus 8. Are you willing to work together for the good of the sport, not split off and disrupt a perfectly good series or organisation This is why we have a strategic benevolent alliance with the ACU , it backs us up with everything we need to run a safe ,fair and protected sport. Straight answers to these please, as you know we have always been willing to forgive and forget, but we feel the responsability of protecting all concerned in the future, and it is a bright future of biketrial in the united kingdom Best wishes Anthony
  15. Dear trials forum Please let me introduce myself, at the 24th feb meeting of biketrial uk i was elected as its new chairman, and i must apologise in advance for posting information which may atract adverse comments , this forum may be visited by any one with an interest in biketrial from around the world and quite frankly when they grasp what is going on in the uk in the name of biketrial they will be as disapointed as i am . Biketrial is a fantastic sport one i have been very proud to be associated with for many years, from the early days when i took my son to brentwood to compete on a converted BMX bike, to starting to run early british championship meetings with the essex biketrial club and others , helping people begin their organising career and for many years enjoying running the west of englands british championship event at kelly farm ,traveling to competitions when time allowed in this country and abroad. And so to the present day their is confusion over the british biketrial championship the reasons for this are simple At the biketrial uk agm in jan their was controversy all this has been documented else where, but there was at the end of that meeting an agreement to run together a british championship which would have been six rounds comprising in no particular order , Tyke trial , EBTC ,west of england kelly , NBTC, west of england bottor rock, NBTC scotland. A while later West of england, hampshire ,EBTC got a letter saying thanks heres your money back and you cant run a british championship round, at the same time who ever controlled the biketrial website posted a new british championship comprising events run by NBTC,tyke trial and NBTC scotland no meetings no democracy no consulation , we were all stunned, effectively, democraticaly and constitutionaly we were biketrial uk yet because we didnt have a web site and we were unable to post on this forum without having it removed we had no voice. Hence we come to the situation that we are at now,on one web site www.biketrialuk there is a alleged british championship and on another which is ukbiketrial.co.uk there is the internationaly recognised british championship firist round being hook woods, no wonder people are confused this evenings postings on the trials chat have not helped . we have been working to ensure that we have a unified british championship the olive branch has been extended something that was never offered to us , and we as an organisation are trying to ensure harmony ,however for this to happen peace has to break out. The breakaway group have a responsibility, For the sake of the children who compete, who look up to the older people as role models , to talk amongst themselves and to come back around the table again It would not have been my natural choice to make this statement on the trials forum, this evenings events have left me with little choice,i hope they are read in the spirit that is intended best wishes anthony
  16. Kurt Brain has been moto crossing doing really well in the junior championships in the south west , won it easily i think , regularly beating lots of top experts Eddie i believe is BMXing
