  1. Yeah that was me who was selling the rim tape - I was selling it for 50p as thats how much it would cost to send it - as it could be useful to someone else rather than just throwing it away
  2. I know quite a lot of riders in my area and many have been talking about a big london ride for a while now, so when the dates up i'll spread the word to get make sure we get a good turnout!
  3. Nice video mate - at least we know what level of riding you are
  4. halfords road grips cut down and they are great - much better than my old try-all foams
  5. I'm guessing you still want the grips don't you as you could just cut them off! what I did with some grips was to gently slide a spoke down the side of the grip and then pour washing up liquid down to lubricate it off - however that was with rubber grips so if you try this method make sure you do it very carefully not to split the foam!
  6. Seriously, everytime I buy new grips all I use to keep them on is good ol' Saliva! I mean your body makes it so its free! Just spit into your grips and swirl it about around the inside of your grip and then slide on and after about an hour it goes sticky and if you leave it overnite they stay on Well thats what I did with my foam grips anyway and they don't move at all.
  7. This is a good shop, but as you say its in america and all the customs hassel its probably not going to be worth it, but I thought i'd post the site up for people who may still wish to buy from there. http://www.midwestbiketrials.com/store/
  8. Yeah, im sure nearly everyone could answer this... Tartybikes!!! , they have all the things you need for your bike and tires are a sure part of it
  9. Welcome to the forum mate, what bike do you ride and how long have you been riding for?
  10. Theres the solution mate , buy the evo1 mounts
  11. I should be up for this providing my local riders are coming as well! erm, how do I get there from Southend victoria station ?
  12. I ride a Zona zip with a pretty good spec and is pimped with green details
  13. Erm, People do use double disks! eg Double disk montys? although theres an arguement at which is better, but thats another topic Its usually down to the fact that hs33s can be better for lock and rear disks for lock and modulation. There is also the worry of hitting the rear disk and bending it which would put and end to a ride( if it cannot me bent back)
  14. Yeah, the bike part was in the second part of your quote - The brake mounts I bought are bike related mate
  15. Its a nice bike mate - but I don't like the colour of your maggies at all, they don't go with you colour scheme with the red bits so it looks odd. Anyways, What colour are you going to spray your frame? Any ideas ?
  16. Just a tad a bit of a pointless topic but... The best thing ive found on ebay was an old sega mega drive which I snapped up for 12quid including the postage - works fine and was in mint condition, When I bought that I was well chuffed I bought my echo cnc mounts of neil tunnicliffe through ebay as wel! he sold them well cheap - 10 quid for a front and rear set brand new still in packaging - bargain
  17. Nice video mate, some fair moves there - How long have you been riding for mate ? Tip: when making trials videos, try to have a separate person to film it - because I think in the later parts of your video, you sometimes went out of shot, having a constant image of you just makes the whole video flow together Overall, a nice video mate
  18. yeah but the evo2 mounts are not offset and are central so he can't fit them ... but if you want to get the brake to fit then you have to get the original evo mounts which are offset so it should give you enough room for the rim
  19. I think you should go for it mate - good bike to ride and the frames made of good stuff - ive got a few dents in mine but the frames still hard as nails - bid for it !! (but when you get it change the forks )
  20. Yeah definitlely upgrade mate, the gearing ive found with t-birds and t-vees is very light so gapping and blunts are harder to do at a higher level so upgradeing to maybe a 18:12 ratio will definitly help you become a better rider. Also buy a decent freewheel which good catchpoint so it makes you put more power into the pedalstroke. Freewheels such as the: Tensile Try-all Monty Echo ENO white industries these are the ones to go for - depending on your budget Im currently running Tensile cranks with a try-all freewheel and felt theyre quite good.
  21. My first trials bike was an 06 saracen mad team super pro and i loved it....till some fags nicked it then I bought a onza t-vee and upgraded to a t-master and then onto my Zona Zip well thats my bike story
  22. I would just like to add that the try-all yourself replica 'risers' are quite a flat riser so don't really give you much of a difference to conventional bars - I ride with them and they feel fine, but I think its perfect as my try-all stem is quite high anyway and so it evens out. The try-all bars are meant to prevent wrist injuries as well - I think anyway , heard it from somewhere
  23. I'm hoping for good weather this time as the last major Southend ride was hit by rain during some parts of the day and spoilt it somewhat so good weather ***! So far so good with the attendance as well as being a local rider to Southend - I like to see other riders making the effort to ride other places ! see you all there
  24. My mate put a brand new set of citrus pads on straight after he gave his rim a fresh grind - they lasted a week and eventually the backings were all that was left - I definitely would not recommend these pads for sharp grinds as they will wear down fast! On the other hand though - on worn out grinds or smooth rims with tar, they can be quite good indeed, I felt they had good hold and great bite
  25. I think mate your a bit of a plank really - posting a topic like is completly irrelivant and doesn't help anyone - you've already made this topic and that was closed - does that not not give the indication to stop making these type of posts?
