To add, the nearest train station is Rye House (for Rye House). Train goes from Liverpool Street (London). The track is 10 mins away from the station.
-
Hmm. Almost seems worth doing that and not pay £33 for an extra 15/20 mins.
-
What I'm gonna do with them, for the track with the cheapest price - is have it so each person rings up and pays. Just so no one gets stuck paying for someone who doesn't go. Hour per person sound alright? If we do a 2 hour enduro, swap every 15 minutes with the other driver (2 per team) it means you get your 6 required pit stops plus you don't get knackered with driving for an hour non stop! August dates are as follow (for Rye House): 12th + 28th Lakeside also has this: 4 Hour Race 40 mins practice 2-6 drivers per kart Please call 4 drivers are going to work out at £100 each at their rates though; unless Simps knows someone there and can get us a deal? Also have this, though I don't think you'd get an hour in the seat then.. Half Day Corporate Mon-Fri 9-6pm min of 15 drivers * Choice of event formats * Bronze buffet * Conference room use * Exclusive Event Host £79 per driver

Shut up, or I'll stab you.

Seems like a decent idea - won't be summer then, might be a bit wet though.. I'll phone both venues later this week with a base idea of numbers, and see what they say. Poll added for ease of number counting.
-
That's not too far. With a bit of petrol money I'm sure I could detour off. If in doubt, train it to Guildford and I could pick you up on the way through.

Zattoo. Google and download it! - It's legal.

Slow and indoor if I recall. Both these venues are world class, quick and have extremely good karts. Start saving now, if we do it next year, you can do it then? That's the attitude man!

Seeing as this was discussed before off the record, I thought I'd see if there was any genuine interest in this. There are two venues which are well known - both based near London, any other you can suggest are welcome! Rye House Lakeside Rye House each month has a enduro session which is a minimum of two drivers, but it lasts two hours. £85 per driver if there are two of you. Lakeside does offer this, but it offers it £20 more than Rye House At both venues the karts go roughly the same speed, both are twin engine (60 - 70mph tops). Minimum age is 16 I think for these.. If you're interested, or know of other venues - just pop it in here! I've had a few people say this should go forward, so let’s make it happen eh? Rye House. Lakeside.

I've got three animals - two cats and a dog. Here's a picture of Lady, obviously the dog. Ex racer too, didn't do badly - won quite a few races. Every time she sits down, she has her tongue out now.. really weird.

Over Christmas I worked in Envy (clothes store). They had a sign in the window asking for a sales assistant, and I basically walked in with a CV, asked to speak to the manager, handed it to her. Got a call a day or so later asking me to go back for an interview, made sure I dressed smart yet stylish, and I got the job. I tried 5 shops before hand and didn't get anything back from them, and it was a on the spot "should I or shouldn't" I kind of decision to go in, and I thought "why not!" - thankfully it paid off! Hope this helps in any way!

That was yours? I assumed it was an abusive post. Sorry man! Mine's got a dent on the top, but no major dents on the rest of the frame, thankfully. Come to the DJ ride and you can ride mine, as long as you don't dent it..

Doesn't running a magnet over the drive case wipe it?
-
That's a shame. I hope you don't go into administration, that would be a great loss*. *this is a lie.

More recently your so called funny and informative posts have left me quite unsatisfied. What has happened to the funny Circus? Has he died?

My life isn't extremely exciting at the moment, which is why I think of it like that. Although I did have a point recently where I thought "f**k it, kill me now and I'll be a happy man!". 99% of the time I enjoy what I do and how I do it, but I'd like to think it's not the end when I die. I mean, look at some of the amazing musicians who have died from excessive drugs use, drowning and being shot on stage - some of them died extremely young, and they didn't really get to do anything to their full potential. The guitarist from Pantera got shot on stage by a fan of the singer (after they'd stopped gigging together), because the singer made a statement in an interview saying he wanted him dead. He had huge potential to be an amazing gigging guitarist with all sorts of major bands to even now, if not his own band - had he not died. He didn't choose to die, it was taken from him. I'd hope that he's been brought back as someone else who will for fill what he started - even though had they told him when he was 7 "when you die Steve Vai will put his guitar in your casket", his reply would have been, "kill me now". Jeff Buckley drowned accidently, as far as I recall. One of The Beach Boys went the same way, although I think it was also drugs related. Eva Cassidy? Enough said really! Look at it from that perspective - for all those people who were taken down in their prime of becoming something huge, if they could be brought back, even if in another body and start again what they had originally started without knowing it - becoming the best in the live scene, and enjoying music for how they made it, is it really such a bad way of thinking? I think this was a bit of a rant, but it's how I like to look apon life. If I can live it to full, I'll do so - but dear god, when I die.. don't let it be the end, because life is too much damn fun even if it's not very exciting.
-
You have to hope you're not going to just rot in the ground though, you have to hope something else will happen after. Be it being put into another body with your memory wiped, or going to what the bible portrays as Heaven..

Cheers for the nice replies guys. I'm going to give it a clean up on Monday, and get everything set up nicely! Might have a proper seat on it by the DJ ride, depending if I can find a seat clamp!
