  8. i tried tensioning it upwards and it was a slack as you now what and so i took one link out but then the chain wouldnt go on i also tried using a half link of a shadow but it wouldnt stay on it kept breaking so im either going to have to buy a new half link or do some modifications, i need a new hub first anyway now
  9. the chain has no stiff links as it brand new and checked but i have a bigger problem now which is a distinct lack of engagmnent at the rear end
  10. no im running it with down tension thats the weird thing it shouldnt come loose as when you pedal it the top of the chain that goes tight the bottom goes slack, im using the bolts that are supplied with the tensioner ill try and get some pictures if i dont manage to fix it
  11. right ive got my onza single speed tensioner but it keeps moving, as i pedal and the chain goes tight it pull the tensioner right up so when theres no pressure on the pedals the chain flaps about. its on an adamant a1 frame the rear sprockets 14t, the chain is a khe collapse chain and the mech hanger is also new so not bent etc. when i set it up i set the tension so their is still abit of play when theres no pressure but so it just starts to pull when their is i made sure the qr was super tight and also the bolt that screws into the mech hanger. the tensioner is here: onza tensioner any body got any ideas?
  12. i did mine with and it feels mint compared to normal fluid
  13. check out www.tartybikes.co.uk and www.selectbikes.com and look around at different frames and you will get an idea of whats good and what isnt
  14. put loctite or nutlock whatver you want to call it on both sides of the bottom brackets threads and then put it back in and thighten the crap out of it then leave it like over night and the loctite will set keeping the bb in. hope this helps

  22. yeh i used to ride trials years ago then moved to bmx and now ive moved back into trials. and yes quibbell i still have your tube.
  23. thanks for the comments people, i made the tensioner using an old suntor mech and i took out the middle section and the arm bit that has the jockey wheels then jut pu a bolt through and put the jockey wheel of one of those downhill jobbies on it, the top half of the mech has a spring that pushes down so it keeps the chain tight
  24. looks good mate. i ran a derallier instead of atensioner with single speed for a while to stop it clanging about i tie strapped the bit thats toouching the frame in the pic below to the frame and the other bit still tensions the chain fine
