  1. I did a four foot drop on my first days street trials riding, proper technique and everything! i learnt the technique for dropping on a kerb in about two hours riding with instruction from my mate who'd been riding for quite a while. After a month of riding i was gapping about 4ft from a wall to a rail then dropping off the rail to the ground and i could do a 7foot drop off an old machine gun pill box thing from the war near where i live.
  2. in the long term water will oxidise the aluminium components inside the brake and they will corrode, this may take a while to happen but it is inevitable so i wouldnt use it! I use shimano mineral oil because its the same density as magura blood and alot cheaper!
  3. its not ideal but it can quite easily be built up, i work in a bike shop and wheel building is my speciality! as long as you leave the spaces in the hub flange on one side opposite eachother and on the other side the spaces at 90degrees to but still opposite eachother, then the wheel should be reasonably ok. The only thing i can see being a problem is that the tension and length of the spokes wont all be perfectly even, so you might find yourself having to true the wheel slightly more regularly! if you build the wheel yourself just make sure the spoke tension is as even as possible, or get the wheel profesionally built and it should be fine!
