dot oil and you dont use a syringe for hope, you take the resivoir cap off and let gravity do the work! you need an 8mm (i think) spanner at the slave end and you let the oil down like that... im really bad at explaining, someone please do a better job than me!
wouldnt dot oil do far more damage than water to the seals??? magura blood is mineral oil and dot will destroy your brake i think??? might be wrong though?
if you're confodent you're not going to come-up-short an a gap and land on your bb/sprocket area then you dont need a bash!!! but once in a while everyone comes up short!!! if you want to lose the ski-plate bash to get more clearance you can use a uci style bashring which will protect your chain and sprocket, but if you land on it alot it puts alot of extra strain on your bb!!!
however much money you spend on an internal isis bb the bearing wont last at all long, i get through them soooooo quickly! square taper bearings last 10 times longer and unless you're going neil tunnicliffe kind of big you dont need a stronger axel than a shimano UN53, theyre awesome sq taper bbs...and cheap too they last years and feel well stiff! a square crank will only round if you dont look after it properly and dont keep them tight! theres absolutely nothing wrong with square taper!!! just make sure the tapers are clean and free af grease when you put the arm off and invest in an extra long-handled 8mm alen key t o do them up well tight!! i guess this whole post is rathe hippocritical as i'm running isis cranks on my stock at the moment but yeah... square ***!
you dont use a screwdriver on a freewheel unless it's one of them shite ones with no splines inside! the best freewheel tool is a park tools FR-1 buy one!!!
tensiles...just to be different and theyre what i have! not had them long but definitely no problems with them so far and i've gone pretty big on them already
I know it's only a drop and its not exactly impressive but its for my mates a level photography and he did quite a good job of layering them up so i thought i'd put the finished product on here and see what you guys think? any comments welcome!
when you're on the front wheel swing the back wheel slightly sideways then force it down and forwards and lift the front of the bike up as your back wheel come towards the point where you want it to land. it all happens really quickly but you'll see whart i mean, you dont just go forwards, it's a slightly sideways motion.
i bought a pair of tensile cranks off hin and he didnt send me the bash guard/sprocket. i emailed and this is the email email i got back: i think thats fair enough really if thats the truth and his refs seem good enough so i trust him
