I have the same problem with my front tire, it's curved more one one side and I can't figure out how to correct it Oh and it's the same tire too, I also ride Continental Vertical 2,3"...

Alright, here's my first "real" trials bike and it rides lovely! But 1) what year is the frame? 2) what fork is it (standard fork for the Level Boss perhaps)? 3) what year are the Maguras? I'd be more than happy to have those questions answered by anyone who knows or has an educated guess! I suppose you have checked that the brake cylinders don't move outwards when you push the lever?

Oh I see, that made things a lot easier! It just goes onto the two holes there that are still in the frame? It's an Echo ES2, from 2003 I think but not sure..

Hi all, after a failed side hop to park bench my bike looks like this: Now, I don't know anything about different chain tensioners so what do I do to fix this?? Do I need a certain kind of tensioner and what do you recommend? Will the dropout be weaker now, without the mech hanger? I have a Hope mono hub.. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Listen, (almost) everyone wants to be young and once you're old you have two options: 1) Be an ordinary old, boring guy who doesn't do anything but work, watch tv and eat popcorn. 2) Try to enjoy your life as best as you can, while you can still use your body. And have fun with what you've got. That's what this man is doing and he's got my respect for that. And also, to other beginners it's nice to see that they're not the only one at that "noob"-stage

In Sweden it's not allowed so you have to disassemble the bike and put it in bags - you're only allowed to take as much as you can carry...

Hi, I have a Mavic rear rim that is normally too small to use with the Magura brake but the previous owner of the bike was smart and added an extra pad backing to one of the pads. I recommend you try it while waiting for a new rim (if you have extra pads/backings that you don't need)

Money always allows for a pair of brakes! If you can afford food then you pretty much can afford brakes =) any v-brake will do really, for example:http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=22386 Add another £5 and you'll get: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=22385 and they are sufficient for even experienced riders with the right pads

Trialschallenger how did you do that? Looks interesting... Just drilled right through the frame and then threaded? To the OP, one solution is to drill your stripped threads to one size bigger, so if they are M5 now (most Magura mounts are, I think), get them drilled and threaded to M6. I did that on my frame and it works great! Cost me around £12 at a bicycle repair shop downside is that you have to enlarge every hole that the screw goes through before reaching the threads, like spacers, bolt clamp holes etc...

Yeah so if you brake hard, the spring will get compressed and that would make it impossible to lock the brakes. I googled around and found brakes with built-in modulators but they don't look like yours.. Hmm maybe I found a way in which they might work, mspaint job coming up soon! edit: Maybe?? Or:

It seems like they contain a spring that absorbs "excess" power from the brake lever when pushed, for a smoother braking experience. I can't figure out how they would be assembled though...
