Mr Seat Leon turned out to be a massive fanny. Agreed a deal at a straight swap, and then he said he couldn't do it there and then because he needed the car to get to work in the morning and he had to change over the security cameras to let him in the carpark so asked if I could pick it up Sunday. Fair enough. He text me (a f**king text?!) 20mins later and said he wanted £200 his way as well. So I told him to f**k off. Going to look at this tonight - http://www.swapz.co.uk/swapz/3040935/saab_93_hot_aero/ 230BHP stage 2 Saab 93 Aero HOT. Spoke with the owner, it seems a good car and he's willing to do a deal tonight with £250 his way. Which I'm more than happy with if it is a good car. He's a fair bit older than all he other pricks I've been dealing with, so hopefully it will be a nice car. Judging by the spec of it and from what I knew about them 5 years ago it is all bar a downpipe stage 2 spec; so with a £90 downpipe it'll be ready for a 270bhp map. And being the HOT Aero it's got the TD0417T turbo, which can be swapped straight out for a readily available and very cheap TD019T which will reliably flow 310bhp with nothing more than injectors. Fingers crossed.

For £25, why look around?

Going to look at a Leon Cupra this afternoon; f**k knows why. Because it's cheap I guess. http://www.swapz.co.uk/swapz/3035781/seat_leon_1_8_20v_cupra_turbo/

Do you guys even get why it's funny? "This page has been reserved for future use" Future use, pmsl still makes me chuckle this morning.

Is it just me that finds this hilarious? http://munting.co.uk/

Like the Essex Lion; it doesn't actually exist.

The thought of you in a suit is an odd one. But yes, do it.
-
They do a range of tight cut tailored fit suits as well as looser fitting standard cut suits. I went for the tailored fit and was pretty impressed. Excuse the SHITE picture; but the jacket is a very nice cut and is actually black with a grey pinstripe. Certainly a well fitting as Next - I don't know how long the offer is on for. I googled it and nothing came up. There were some interesting articles on "supermarket suits", by all accounts anything sub £100 is considered budget; but the general consensus on the web seems to be the Sainsburys Tu ones are the best, even better than M&S.
-
A new suit. Now usually I get my suits from Next; but Sainaburys had an offer on where if you buy a jacket, trousers and a single shirt and tie combo you got the shirt and tie for free. £55 all in! Properly nice suit, far better than I thought a supermarket suit could be. So basically, if anybody wants a suit get to Sainsburys. I feel well ripped off paying £120 a go for Next stuff now! Going to get another one tomorrow I think.

And you're such a fag... The little yellow bastards Volvo looks f**king awesome there; I can't believe he's selling it Total awesome sauce - Was he wearing his race suit at the weekend? I so bum him.

lol George; still kept all the 290bhp S3's at bay though. K03 powahhhhhhh. - Today I took in a 2002 Civic Type R; 60,000 miles, black, AC, not baaaad condition at all. A scuff on the rear quater and the clutch is low but when pumped it pumps up fine so should just need a bleed. 8 months tax and test; three owners. £1200. Think I'm going to buy it and sit on it for a bit and then sell it for a horrifying profit.

To be fair I was 99% certain that I was going to kill both of us on my first entry to camp. The guy in the briefing last year said that Camp and Quarry are the two most dangerous corners in uk motorsport, something crazy like 40% of competetive accidents happen on them.
-
Such a fanny George, I love it. Diet; he's got a 380bhp capable setup but can't take it above 300bhp because the rods on 1.8t's are pretty weak. That and his engines done over 210,000 and never even had the head off it. It's long over due lol He destroyed gearbox number 8 last week - So whilst my old man is building his new box it makes total sense to build then engine; he's had all the bits for a fair while now. Just waiting for something like this to make it viable.

Colin is staying. I must have had rose tinted glasses on when I looked at this 205 the other day. It's clearly been thrashed through a field over the weekend; it's gone from being immaculate to shit within three days. I snuck round to the blokes garage and checked it out in my own time. Suspect... Split in the floor bracing - Chassis rails all beaten in - I told him I need a years MOT on the 205, £500 and a tank full of fuel for the BM.
-
This guy must have to pay a second lot of council tax for his bollocks; they deserve their own f**king post code!

We work out that a diesel is £1500 more usually; over the space of three years it takes 12,000 ish miles to recoup the difference alone. I just don't see the point in diesel unless you are a peasant/do a lot of miles/tow.
-
12,000 miles per year is the minimum to break even for having a diesel, that's for new cars anyway. Whenever I work it our for customers it's always between 11 and 14 depending on the car but 9 times out of 10 it's 12.

A tip from the top; stop imagining she's insulted people and then calling her out about the fictitious insults in front of the person she supposedly insulted. That was hilarious. In all seriousness; good work. I hope you get the desired results; she seems very nice George, be prepared to be totally out geeked by Robin. To be fair the pair of you could probably exchange ID's and get away with it - Seamons, I know it's like another hour and a half further but if you fancy it you could stay at mine on Saturday night; get drunk and come get this 205 GTI with me in the morning
-
More importantly Robin; so what's your relation with the rather attractive lady you were with last night?
-
Yeah I'm working which sucks an almighty great donkey dick. Lou probably won't go, we're both skint. Not only that she'd only get the hump, go on track and smash you all in her A3 and spend yet more money she hasn't got. I swear that bitch could smash Tarty the way she drives; she just needs to man up a bit. She came home from work the other day like 45mins late; now I keep her on a tight leash as you know so I interrogated her. Turns out some chav in a Saxo VTR tried to race her so she followed them in the opposite direction for over 30 miles just so she could constantly dick them and then allow them to overtake so she could dick them all over again when they tried to get past. f**king mentalist; I drive like such a girl these days yet she drives like a frickin' hero.

Properly lol. Did you see the state of his FMIC? It looks like it had been glued together by Joey Deacon in a Blue Peter project! What is he doing to that poor RS of his? It looks like it's just getting shagged? - lol, 205 GTI is looking more and more likely. I've agreed £300 my way and a years MOT; should be picking it up on Sunday if it passes MOT tomorrow.
-
lol Seamons, it isn't your mate Alex is it?

Nice Mk1, tidy. It wasn't from the South West was it? I'm sure I've seen that before. - The 205 I went to look at is immaculate; 100% totally original looking and mint. Bad news; it was a Cat C in 2009. The current owner didn't know this, and when I HPI'd the car and told him he was pretty shocked to be fair. Immediately backed out of the deal and said he was very sorry and did I want any fuel money for going out there etc etc. I let him bubble for a bit and countered his straight swap offer with £500 my way and the 205 for my BM. I'd be happy if I could get £250 my way. The current owner phoned the previous owner and says that the vehicle was broken into and the door frame bent back; the car was taken off the road and restored and then returned to the road in 2010 which is why there is a gap on the MOT history. What are your thoughts on my potential Cat C swap? I don't really see the problem myself; I'd rather something which was declared to the insurance; fixed, half heatedly checked and signed off than something with no history at all or things to hide. (like my last 205 which was clocked; but incidentally owed my less than £500 after Mowgli and I manned up.) Although I'm feeling a twinge of regret, the BM has been SO good and it's a really great car. It's begging to stay and just be loved; I really don't want to see it go. But sensibly speaking I am being offered something of much greater value with cash my way which will be 100% easier to sell and is a rapidly appreciating classic. Don't know what to do :/ I think that if I don't get the deal I want on the 205 I'll just take my advert for the BM down and properly deck it and run it for a while longer. It looked great last night at my local meet.
