  1. Please don't make it September, and if we are can if be a Thursday. Thanks.
  2. Dunce took this picture at the weekend. I f**king love it like a fat kid loves cake. I don't know why, but I look at it and it makes me think of a really cool atmosphere and just being with mates and cars and stuff. Gay I know, but it reminds me of the days when I used to hang out in car parks with all my mates and to be honest that's why we're into cars innit?
  3. The Tarty Vs Jardo race was absolutely the highlight of my day. I wish I could have trusted myself to throw your car about a bit more at the apex, I'll never be able to do that little flick as well as you do though
  4. Just ordered a new master cylinder, a new servo, new braided hoses and a new rear bias valve. God damn bottomless pits.
  5. And don't try too hard! Just go out and enjoy yourself and watch the lap times fall naturally.
  6. Because I'm a bit of a whore, here's the pictures that involve me from Mike's album. (I hope you don't mine Mike.) I actually sneezed at the point of this photo being taken. Great... Sunroof up for extra down force.
  7. I didn't realise that you were you, and I feel really rude now for not making more of an effort to talk to you...
  8. FFS, I didn't realise that was you
  9. I thought it was 16th century, which is incredibly late for the reconstruction of a cathedral. But the stone work just looked to had been redone so I assumed it was damaged during the Civil War. Yeah, he did. But I didn't help him, because I'm a crap mate. His car was going really well all day, such a shame about his puncture. I think it made him feel a bit deflated
  10. Yeah you did. I googled the Cathedral, it was rebuilt loads of times. Started off as a Saxon wooden church in 1085, then was rebuilt by the Normans as a stone Cathedral, then in 1195 they started rebuilding it in a Gothic style, it wasn't completed until the Lady Chapel was completed in the early 1330's. It's top attraction is the Lichfield Gospels, which are an illuminated 8th century manuscript of Matthew and Mark's Gospels and the early works of Luke. **It was nice to meet you too, thanks for the lift.
  11. What. A. Day. Out the door at 6AM, Mk2 decided it didn't want to start for some reason. I went to take the Panda, started running inside and the hazards started flashing. We all know I'm a bit of a weirdo, so I saw this as the car trying to tell me that it had thought about it, and it really did want to go. So I gave it one last try and it jumped straight into life. Broom. Met up with Azarathal (I think? Lets just say Mr MR2) at Cherwell, had a burger king breakfast. Actually not that bad. Got to Curby. I raised the sunroof for extra downforce, and took Kennard out for a go. Scrub scrub scrub, no brakes, scrub scrub scrub. So I raised it up a bit. And bled the brakes manually. They didn't get any better. I did find this CV joint which is in concourse condition though. Suspension still scrubbed. Not cool. Disheartened I took Adams MX5 out and abused it, first as a passenger. Feeling a bit mean I gave him the keys to my car. He's a good judge of character, and knows his cars. So obviously he thinks it's a bit shit, because it is. Looked cool though. Then I took it out for a thrash, what a kickass car that really is! That took us to lunch time, and due to me messing about and not really doing anything the timing board didn't have a time next to my name. This angered me. So I raised it up some more and went out for round two with no brakes. And set a 1.05.million second standing start double lap. Respectable I guess, something like 32 seconds on a flying lap on conventional timing, not bad. But still not great. Brakes didn't work, at all. Car was throwing wobbly's and not boosting, and the engine was cutting out at what. So I parked it up for an hour and went with Kennard to buy an Eezibleed and brake fluid, he dropped off his wheel at a local repair place because he'd got a puncture. Came back, super bled the brakes with fresh fluid. Still no better, in fact even worse. So the master cylinder or servo is clearly knackered. Oh well, brake upgrades was on my list of things to do any who. It started behaving itself again then and running right, because it knew it was gonna' get f**ked up if it didn't. So I took it out brakeless. This improved things. No brakes it good. I decided I was trying too hard, so I just coasted round in third for most of the track. This improved things further. I took it out a fair few times after that, but couldn't really improve on that time and felt as though I was mindlessly chasing a figure that only meant something to me, and it meant more to go back home in a working car than not. So I went and had a go in Haz's Clio. Good fun car that! Really enjoyed driving it. Then I had a go in the MR2. Also a very fun car. All day people had been annihilating Tarty's MX5, bless it. And everybody had a little time under their names with their MX5 time. And at the bottom of the board I think Robin had posted the top time of something like 106.4 of a similar number? So I set to achieve my target in somebody else's car to make myself better. Did a 104. something. Bloody loved driving the MX5, it's awesome! I kind of want one After that I was aggravated that Dann56890678765434567 was only something silly like 0.3 seconds quicker than me. So I went to go and kick the Golf into life. It wouldn't start. Again, I saw this as it basically telling me to f**k off. Because without touching anything other than the door handle it fired straight up 5 minutes later when I'd decided I wasn't going to go out again. So I left it be. Anyway, enough about me and my bollocks. It was fantastic to meet everyone, great to see familiar faces and friends I haven't seen for ages again, it was mega LOL's to see Robin in the 406 Estate. The Volvo was beautiful. Leon's were Leons. Mike was probably top improver of the day. It pains me to say this, because as you know I hate everyone. But Dann1234567890987654321ยง123456787654321 actually really impressed me today, a bit unrefined but for his first time on a track he was absolutely mega. So hats off to you Dann56789987654323456789876543 because you did a good job today. Thanks Adam, Luke and everyone else who had a hand in the setup. It was just as well run if not better than any day I've ever been on. Oh yeah, and I spun quite hilariously on the straight attempting to brake but only actually braking one wheel. It was mega lols, not caught on camera and isn't really describable. So if you were there, thanks for sharing that moment with me. PICS! NAOW!!!! Here's some self gratifying pictures of my own car that I took today. Tricked you, there's only one. f**k off all of you. I did two and a half full tanks today. A tank getting there, half a tank on track and a tank getting back.
  12. God I'd have loved an action picture of that; it's a good job you did miss it to be fair because if you were any closer I may well have run you over. Thanks for taking so many pictures today I'm writing up a little report naio.
  13. I cannot wait for the tripod picture, I'm whoring that shit all over the internet haha.
  14. I left at 6. The radio has stopped working, the door handle has snapped and I'm sat in traffic.
  15. Has all that camera gear, blatantly took the picture with an iPhone.
  16. How do you make an MX5 do that at 40mph?
  17. What an absolute f**king jeb end. That's an MX5. Crashing. Without going more than 40MPH? The actual f**k is wrong with these people.
  18. So. Dremel and cutting wheel to get a rough outline and a flat service to 'work' from. Lots of grinding from what I believed to be 'square'. It fits! Black plasti-dip. Plasti-dipped the lower trim panel of the grille. Fitted the original headlights so I'm legal whilst I work on the lights. And the new grille obviously. Plasti-dip dried. I haven't fitted proper H1 xenons to them yet, I'm still waiting for them to come in the post. But that's with the H4's taped into the back of the lights. They're f**king awesome! I haven't regaled the glass on yet because I want to make sure they work fine before I finally reassemble them. I can't wait to do the inside lights and get them finally wired up properly. I might even go back to the single light grille if they look right
  19. I don't want to blow my own trumpet; but I cant wait to show you guys my headlights. They've turned out loads better than I thought they would.
